The moment DP’ed chose to accepted a money match vs Wong only under a low tier stipulation, he sealed his own fate. Being confident in my opinion is part of being a top player, and I can’t say DP’ed has any, seeing how he rejected playing another top player supposedly like himself in a serious money match without stipulations.

In your site during the team tourney MvC2 EvoWorld, I was watching one of my match where I was on the losers bracket: teamtourney/14f TT RubenDHenderson (3W) vs LamerboiLocdownMagnus02 (W) …but Mike Chaos was playing me on the first round, Scrub vs Scrub, then I lost to Ruben afterwards, and I believe you were recording us Preppy because I was playing on the left screen, or I’m assuming you did. So anyway, this clip here isn’t the full version of the match…it should’ve been teamtourney/14f TT ***MikeChaos***RubenDHenderson (3W) vs LamerboiLocdownMagnus02 (W).
As for Crizzle and I, during semi-finals singles, we played 3 rounds total, not the 2 rounds where I got whooped like a noob. It feels like all my matches has been editted or something, (erasing my winning rounds) therefore, making myself look like a complete noob on the clips during this EvoWorld event. =( I'm just hoping my clips haven't been video editted....thats just sad if it is :confused:I’m sure it was just a mistake. I don’t think anyone would take the time to edit out your matches. Perhaps the recording started second match in? it happens.

I have all of the footage downstairs. In all, I didn’t put up two matches so far. One by request (it was he and I, he asked I not put them up, I lost anyways FWIW) and one just because I wanted to do one final tweak (Cableguy vs Smoothviper). That’s it that’s all there’s no more I have. If it’s not up, I don’t have it and it was never shot. If you noticed me running around like a chicken with its head cut off at Evo, that’s because there was stuff going on all over and I tried getting as much as I could, capturing about 25 hours of footage (with the help of others who helped run my primary or secondary camera) as I tried to get everything I possibly could. It was really especially hard to tape stuff at Evo this year since stuff was scattered everywhere.
So: I’m very sorry. I certainly don’t have your matches. Somebody else might have those. I’ll put up the SnakeShotPeople and hAMM’s and Rotendo’s(?) and Bernie’s(?) stuff they recorded if those show up and they want me to. But: sorry, I didn’t tape those specific matches. I don’t know if anybody else did.
But yeah, you were fun to watch. Sorry, much like with Derek and Jaminis, that I missed taping your other matches. :sad:
If anybody is super-paranoid, you’re welcome to walk through the footage stacks while I have them. I’ll probably tape over them soon, but I will still have the encoded 90+GB of footage from them for a while longer. But really, I didn’t miss putting up any matches at all here (other than those specific two above), so: if you don’t see it yet, I ain’t got it. Maybe you’ll really like Amir/hAMM/Rotendo/Bernie if they ended up capturing your matches. :tup:
oh, it’s just utter fucking scrubby bullshit and one of the biggest reasons I just was like “my god do I really need to put this stupid match up”? I did it because I <3 u all, but… seriously. It’s just a dumb match. Some random guy plays a random specific low tier team, some other random guy runs away for fifty minutes (thank you power cords to keep the camera charged :tup:), money changes hands. It’s not interesting.
I vehemently disagree with the notion that people were predisposed to “DPC hate” or something like that. BULL FUCKING SHIT STFU with that stupidity.
What happened … two hours later(? don’t make me check my timestamps) with Cableguy with SmoothViper? Win or lose, Steven did a pretty damned good job there and walked away more respected as far as I saw. I respected that JWong/JustinJ was a random coin-flip match anyways, but seriously: all he has to do is let his play speak for him and take the money. Everything further was the reason why it’s just a grating stupid match. Now, I love me some show-boating - there’s a reason why I have a Macho Man Randy Savage tattoo - but there’s Good Show-boating and Bad Show-boating. Do it with a sense of humor/etc and it’s awesome top-tier. Some of his moves were pretty great. But it’s the way you do something that makes it interesting - or makes it unappetizing.
It was an ugly match-up going in, and it was an ugly match in delivery.
I separate out the player and the game - he seems like a decent enough guy when I know him, he’s a good player, but his game can (and I think was here) be ugly. No worries: it’s not like how you play in Marvel will ever really define anybody. 
He finds DucJr offensive, and I respect him enough to move to some other name. (Everybody has my respect offhand, that’s just a good way to roll, makes life more enjoyable.) DPC probably works best to me as both interesting/unique and not too horrible. Justin’s not going to work because there’s already eleventy Justin’s, and Wong has a pretty good lock on that name; JustinJ is OK, but doesn’t sound like someone you’d find at a gaming event; DarkPrince just sounds silly to me (unless you’re god or are known for having a sense of humor, avoid major religious names - it’s just built-in silly); Dark Prince Chronos confuses me because I would think Cronos, but it’s Chronos, which is definitely an interesting twist, but just a little too symbologically misconnected for me to roll with; MortDesArtistes is in a foreign language, and if I speak French, I’m doing it like one of those guys from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, plus I think Baudelaire while interesting dates horribly (I <3 Anne Sexton and lot of the visceral poets of the 19xx’s); and DP will never make me think of DarkPrince first. DPC is unique, works, and is short to type. I think it sounds dumb said, though, so would probably go back to Justin in person.
My two cents on the name issue.
My first online name was SillyBunt][ so I ain’t got no fucking room to make fun of anybody here. I just try to stick with one name so everybody can find their footage. :tup:

Well I just wanna say that I been telling ppl that cableguy was good since jump and it was good to see him get some payback from what happened to him last year. Also DPC did get 2nd at evowest people never mention that but are quick to mention how much he sucks or oh he beat JWongs low tier teams he should not have even let JWong get 6 games on him. I think he should get more credit than hes getting considering he came to evo after all that shit he was poppin and still took his money regardless if he had a low tier team…he got paid.
On some real shit Jwongs low tier teams are godlike I think he could honestly beat 70 percent of the players in the US wit his low tier teams. People forget that he is the reason marvel is what it is today Justin is and will ALWAYS be the man to beat in tourney.
On another note I just wanna say Thank you preppy for providing the videos from evo2k7 there are alot of good matches on there you are the best preps:tup: I do wish you were godlike in mvc2 tho it would add to ur godlyness.

I wasn’t complaining about my matches preppy, I know you are doing all you can, and there are more top players you have to get on camera. I mean, who wants to watch me scrub out matches all day? Well besides my friends around here that like to laugh at my defeats ha.

Sanford, that’s probably the best post I’ve ever seen from you. That I can generally agree with. As a fan of Celebrities within the scene, that’s the reason I was most disappointed with the Ruby match - taking 2nd at Evo West, winning the match, that’s actually a pretty nice set-up to build up the DPC fan crowd. I just think things took a wrong turn there, which is probably actually more based on the people in his corner than on what he did, honestly.
Sorry I suck at Marvel. :lol: I just have never had time to really sit down and learn what I need to learn. I hit up the training room for a little while every 3-6 months, but I came into the Seattle scene after Cody fell victim to FFXI crack, so I just haven’t had anything beyond situational learning (learning from what works in games vs people), really, + a very long ago short training session with Rattana. :sad: Oh well - I’m just good enough to have fun with the game, and I’m OK with that. But I’m always open to tips/comments/insight. But the primary reason I play Marvel is to play Tron on point. I’ll play CapCom if I have to, but that’s boring as hell to me.
Derek: yeah, np. I just meant from my perspective. I generally like to have a couple matches of everybody shining and looking good. For example, I film and film Bill ALLLLLL day long, but for some reason it always looks horrible. :sad: j/k Bill’s a savage.
I think that’s what I liked best about the Cableguy vs Eric match this year - Cableguy had that on lock and looked good doing it. I’m pretty equal opportunity in my Marvel appreciation.
