Great job to the guys who captured that DPC vs Jwong match (Preppy and all those guys he thanked at the end). That PIP version is the best. The most annoying thing about the vid was that someone said “that’s all jwong’s low tier team has to offer?”. The best part of the match was the crowd’s reaction especially Deus’ ( I think that’s Deus) and also the fact that Jwong nearly won against the top teams.

I do recall JWong saying on Alphaism radio around the time of the challenge that if he hadn’t challenged him with such a team, the challenge most likely wouldn’t have been accepted anyways and honestly after a 10-6 game of low tiers vs basically every top tier team you can think of, I would say that was the truth. Would DPC bet double or nothing on a real match? Probably not.
Can’t really shit on him for what he did though. All his shit talking looked like they affected JWong for the first couple of games and playing a low tier team seemed to be tiring as hell as well especially when you have to chase runaway Storm almost every damn match. It became mindgames that maybe did or didn’t amount to anything, but I believe that shit was still disrespectful, smart if you only care about money, but disrespectful. As much as I’d love to have seen JWong win that moneymatch including all the drama of the aftermath, those were 16 intense matches that I’m glad I got to see. Again, good shit to Preppy who provided us with the videos and to JWong for giving us an amazing show.

He’s the first guy i ever saw pull off the Cyke infinite with no relaunch and do the IM unfly infinite from the top of the screen and bring them down into the regular one, midscreen. Still unsure how he did it cuz i haven’t seen it in a combo video yet.
my boy gene gunna wreck next year. the first match against fanatiq, he pulled one rep of the slide infinite into a switch with IM to the infinite. and y’all haven’t seen his guard break with IM/mag yet. watch out for him next year.

I don’t think there was a rule against coaching. Should have been a rule to use an infinite timer, though. Although maybe we’d all still be there. 
JustinJ (DPC) wouldn’t have taken the bet against a ‘real’ team because he knows he would been destroyed. That’s not meant to be an insult, just calling it like I think he would agree. He managed to bait out some money by refusing to play for anything else. I don’t respect that, I don’t think many people should, but whatever: sacrifice your pride, take the money. It works.
As re: “DPC hate”, watch the crowd shot. That was pretty nasty. I just don’t find that kind of thing appetizing. I don’t think most others do. If you walked away from watching that thinking wow, I want to be that kind of player, too, I’m sad. I think people are responding about how you’d expect when watching somebody act like that after simply running away for 99 seconds and then watching the grimy classlessness of various people in that crowd. I respect it was just about the money, but it sure wouldn’t have taken much to come out of this more respected. On that front, I think they did about everything wrong. :sad:
Justin Wong is pretty awesome. I liked that he was down-to-earth enough to just laugh at JustinJ’s showboating at certain points (watch him, it’s pretty funny). That guy’s a good sport. :tup: (no homo: I just like seeing people that play because they enjoy the game and think it’s fun.)
I think coaching should be banned forevers.
coachers tell players things they dont see ex. calling assist too much, same pattern, use the rest of meter to chip…ect.
the player should know how to see these themselves rather than relying on someone else to point out.
