Maybe you should invest in a stick then, or at least a pad. I have no idea how you’re able to crouch tech on keyboard. Most keyboards don’t accept more than like 2-3 inputs at a time.
Thats the whole point. The best are those PS/2 keyboard from steel series that recognise all 103 keys at once. Mine are Razer Tarrantula, which are gaming keyboard too. Thats why I can Plink, kara, Pressing more than 4-5 buttons at once.
when I go to my friend house and play on a crappy keyboard, I cant even DIVE KICk because you need to hold 2 directional button and press Kick. Thats 3 button and the game only recognise 2.
The point here is I may invest in Hitbox. but there is something hard. Hitbox nowaday not allow you to press Left AND right at the same time, making charge move a bit…eh…hard
Also, can you teach me how to Cross up With LK Dive Kick. I try on real matches and it is like 1 success over 100 tries. Most of the time i just whiff, land in front of them or hit them in the head and got frame disadvantage from that. Sometimes I look at Daigo Replay and relised that a few times he did not need to Instant Dive kick, like doing it the lowest possible, but he just jump and dive kick, and they crossed up?
No cross up make my Yun worthless. I got DPed all day…
little use for TC other to just mix up the pace, with BnB you have a lot more options. Frame traps, more time to to react, etc.
Honestly 1 or 2 frames doesn’t feel all that different, and in some cases it feels the 1 framers are even easier to perform due to the rhythmic nature of it. eg: Ryu’s jab to sweep combo.
I question this, because the uncrouchable setups I use with hakan that work on every other 71f wakeup character upon knockdown do not work on yun/yang. leading me to believe that their wakeup frames are of a different value
Question it all you want. I’m 100% sure it works. You can test it yourself. Ryu’s safe jump is like the easiest in the game. Works on Yun, Yang, DeeJay, Guile, Fei, etc.
Maybe the problem is that Yun/Yang have 4f wakeup reversals, so your timing has to be perfect else you eat a dp.

Ah yes, but it is vulnerable to masher :(. Also the TC is a true block string, while some other is not. Also the cancel window for TC is quite large
Still, frame traps are nice though :D*

What’s Yun’s anti-air while he’s also in the air? Non-neutral jump
HK.
I tried the TC a little bit yesterday and, while it’s interesting for online (because of mashers), it’s still worse than the bnb, because of less options (can’t followup with the tc4) and it seems to have problems in doing cr.lk-tc5 (dunno, maybe is a limit of my execution).
It’s probably useful in some situations (maybe when playing against high-lag opponents), but overall the bnb seems far better.
You shouldn’t be adjusting your game just to play in lag. Actually, you shouldn’t consider lag at all, unless for some reason you only plan on playing in online tournaments.
I like how you think, but I’m far from being a tournament player, so I adjust my game for online efficiency. Probably a side effect of getting my ass handed by even the 0pp Blankas.
@kache: I Think Cr.LK to S.LP is a chain, so it is pretty hard to miss I Think. Or it is a 2 frame link I cant remember, but i try it on training mode and Cr.LK to S.LP S.LK S.MP is quite easy.
And why do you want to end with S.MP S.HP B.HP? Isnt the damage is not as good as Lunge punch and HK Upkick?
For 2 reasons:
- The same reason you’re interested in the TC5: difficulty of dropping it.
- Because I can go into Genei Jin.
The combo Normal or EX command grab into s.mp xx EX lunge punch.
Why does the EX lunge punch sometimes not connect? I have tested with the same dummy and it is very inconsistent, what is the reason?
You’re not getting close standing mp. The easiest way to get close standing mp is to command grab your opponent with their back facing the corner so you can get close mp. Some characters, you can do it midscreen, but you have to walk forward a few frames before you press mp.
Interesting combo done by Daigo against Valle: tc5-EX Lunge-Ultra.
Maybe this tc does have a use.
That’s probably the most common ultra setup there is, people have been using that since day 1.
But here lies the problem, how do people land Ultra 1 after Ex Lunge? I cant for the life of me do it consistently… mashing is not working.
I can’t do it by timing, but mashing works quite easily. Just buffer the ultra motion during the ex lunge.
I don’t play Yun, but have these setups been seen/discovered? They look like unblockables to me, but I could be wrong:
Daigo vs Kindevu. At about 4:20 and then again at 5:10

Setup seem to be ultra 1 in the corner, jump forward hp, wiff cl.mk, some dive kick.
Daigo vs Ryan Hart. About 2:35.

Weird as genei jin finish.
If someone know more and care to elaborate, I’d appreciate it.
