Yun Geneijin Glitch in Online Edition?

Play better Yun’s

I should’ve added more context to this statement.

How the fact that Makoto, Chun and Q now eat a heavy combo that starts with Palm. That is a huge change, maybe even making Yun tops over Chun if you think about it… The only reason Chun is ballin’ is because her super is strong and reinforces her ground game so much against the better chars.

Every yun will get zenpo on you. Especially during genei Jin. That’s why that move is fuckin gay.

But like you said, you might have been misinterpreted

So can anyone test?? Please!

exodus did apparently test
@ryan.

scroll up to yuuki’s post

Yea I know it’s confirmed but i was hoping for vids or something more concrete than “yea it’s there”.

if i weren’t so lazy, i’d make a vid that said “yea it’s there” and link it to you

in fba, raw rh upkicks in genei jin does 10 damage, zenpou followed by rh upkicks does 7 damage. I don’t have oe, so if someone else does what I did in oe training mode with the attack data turned on, maybe we can get something more concrete. also, I did this test on ken. not sure if that matters

I’m just one of those guys that prefers doing things while Yun is in GJ instead of blocking the entire time. You know, if the situation permits and my character has a tool that’s good for countering GJ (usually a super)… Probably not the best strategy for every GJ situation but in my mind it’s: damned if you do, damned if you don’t…
That and I hate the smug sense of entitlement Yun gets when he’s goes GJ, so I do anything just to spite that person (even at the cost of my own life bar). Maybe I’ll get in their head, maybe I won’t.

Yea I know it’s difficult to just sit there and take zenpo… But if you try to do something all the time vs good yuns… Well… You might want to buy some lube. You’re gonna get lit up.

I try to ex-SRK his overheads on reaction. works well enough if you can focus like that at will. as for zenpo, if I feel one coming, I jump. If I get hit, whatever I was going to get hit anyways.

depends how the damage number is calculated.
so you may get different stuff regardless. for instance the values on ESNs site do not line up with OE which do not line up with game restaurant.

ken should be fine as far as stamina.

i think the lua script i used calculates damage the same way oe does. i do know that ken’s target combo, jab srk does the same amount of damage in both. even if it is calculated differently, if there’s no scaling in oe, the damage for raw rh upkicks should be the same as zenpou followed by rh upkicks.

now that i think about it, the numbers for fba aren’t even needed

oh ok cool.
i just noticed that the final output doesn’t even line up.

like you’ll see things where the damage value OE outputs comparing two different moves won’t share a common denominator with the same two moves listed on game restaurant. meaning the calculations being used aren’t the same and they’re not actually looking directly at whatever tables do exist. or maybe one of them is, one isnt.

at least i recall this being the case but it may have been some weird fluke or something also.

What do you mean by common denominator? Now what a common denominator is but what would act as such in this scenario?

yea, it’s there

Playing with OE a little bit Zenpo does scale in GJ at least to some degree… although it clearly is not as much as it should.

Nah, man. OE is set to naturally stretched, so your like screen and shit has been cropping out edges and scaling to within the uncropped area. Come time to calculate the game says fuck it and just pulls out the default block and the adjusts the numbers to match that.

Yeah…

No, wait.

At the end it should be, to match this.

No, wait.

It’s that.

man thats terrible, good job exo!
