Too old?! Who decides that shit anyway? Why is the most sought after VG demographic the 18-35 year old male? If VGs were only for kids ppl over 18 wouldn’t be the target audience for the bulk of all new games. It’s a hobby now like anything else. It’s like someone telling me I’m too old to listen to Hip Hop because it’s only for 16 year old black males. People who still spout that shit in this day and age just want attention.
Your never too old to play Street fighter. At SGL(Stockton golfland) there was this old man(like 40’s) who was KICKING major ass with N joe kim and sagat. Good god could that old man play. I hope hes there whenever I go again.
I goto my local arcade all the time and play people who are in their teens. I’m 23 and feel ancient. Funny part is, the best Marvel player where I go is 29. I think as long as you enjoy games who cares how old you are? Obviously I can’t play as much as I used to but when I’m at the mall with some time and spare change, why not play a few?

You’re never too old for video games. It is because of our great interest in video games that keeps us playing, no matter if you’re 15 or you’re 15 days left after living to be 100. Once you start to lose interest in video games, then that’s when you truely become too old.

It’s really about balance. I’m 24 and outside of my family, no one else bugs me about games because it doesn’t infringe on anyone else. I don’t force GF’s to watch me play. I don’t cancel “social gatherings” so I can enter tournaments or play casual. I never let games get in the way of my job. There’s room to play games and have the rest of your life without conflict. When you reach the balance, you can play until you die because there isn’t a thing anyone is going to complain about.
there a old guy who like over 60 years old always hang around in gamestop whenever i went there to pick up my game…he always talked about action/strategy/rpg games with the guy who work there…
a friend of mine has that “video games rott your brain mentality” I know most people that would say that are only jokeing, but this guy truely believs it. I didn’t realy have a problem with his opinion on the subect, atleast we had other things in common besides video games. but then more and more I realized it wasn’t the video games he was affraid of! it was loseing (at any type of compitition, not just video gaming) hes the type of person that would lord any type of embarrasing shit that happened to you, and keep nagging you with it. hell… it got to the point were he wouldn’t even play SC2 (a game he actualy knows how to play) with a couple random stangers cause he was afraid of losing. I had no problem at all playing SC2 even though I suck at/hate that game, I lost a whole bunch, won a few times from button mashing. it was all good fun. It was ashame he has such poor sportsmanship.
You know what at nickel city in san jose back awhile ago when spawn just came out and everyone was going crazy over it.
There was like this really really old black fool who was owning alot of people at the game i don’t know what happend to him but when he was around there he kicked some major ass at spawn.
Hell i’m almost 30 and I still play games. In fact I am going to the TXshowdown next month. I am pretty sure I will be playing games well into my old age. I’ve only been playing them sicne I was 2.

Yes, because a character like Dan the “Master of Saikyo style” or whatever the hell it’s called, should be able to wipe the floor against a giant mutant Robot like Sentinel that can fly, unfly and shoot missiles at you; any day of the week, even on his worst day. :lame:
Who cares if the Street fighters aren’t used in marvel. You can play as them in any of the other games anyways, Mvc 2 isn’t streetfighter based. If the streetfighters were gone, the game would probably be more fun than it is now.

The 1st computer i had was the Atari 2600 (which i still have) followed by the Sincalir ZX Spectrum 48k (which i also still have). In fact, i have almost every console and home computer released and will probably still collect and play until long after my 17month old leaves home.
I’ve never had anyone complain that I’m too old (I’ll be 20 next month).
i’m 19 and i get it a fair bit from my parents. strange thing is though, i could be playing some 2d fighter and i get called childish for still playing them (i used to play sf2 on my snes a lot). on the other hand i play something like half-life 2 or gta3 and i get shit like that game is too violent/gory/bs and that i shouldn’t play it
