dunno about other setups, but you can safe jump any 4f reversal, such as cammy or dudley. you can safe empty jump him after a backthrow, but you can’t use any attack or srk will hit.

im usually lookin to land *reversal *u2 between ryu’s c.mk xx fireball… good mental guard breaker & makes ryu respect u2 in a different way.
hopefully ol’ roo will stop w/that altogether when you have ultra from that point on
also dont forget that u2 punishes his sweep on whiff & block.

For all practical purposes it goes over his head, but technically it does not. If you look at the hit box, I put a green line at it’s edge, you can see it doesn’t go over his head. However, a person in the air has a vulnerable hit box that’s actually further back than it appears. So you can use close HK where it would appear the box shouldn’t hit.

If you activate ultra 2 on bison at pretty much anytime in his teleport the U2 will connect. Here it gets done on reversal and the last 2 hits of the dust connect.

Japanese cody in a couple good matches against akuma (Ndsg). Can someone explain to me why the beginning of EX Zonk is invunerable to air fireball but the rest is not. That never made any sense.

normal zonk only has upper body invuneralable and is throwable.
Do those pictures mean that the edges of Cody’s hitboxes disappear, but from under his chest to his crotch always stay vulnerable during EX Zonk? I guess that would make sense why an air fireball passing through the middle of the body would hit.

I know traditionally the hit boxes are blue, but when I looked at cody’s hitbox data I only saw yellow red and green. I assumed that yellow was being used both for the block range and the Hittable box. Is it the light green lines making the squares that are hitboxes?
I don’t mean to be a tool or anything but this thread needs some organization.
When I read “cody video thread” and came in to see the first post not have any videos, no mentioning of top level codys, and people within the thread posting replays from psn/xbox I knew it was a disaster.
I would start posting videos of good/top level codys so others could learn and develop as players. The best way to learn is to watch top level play imo. That and of course, playing people better than and equal to your skill level.
Basically: post your own cody footage in a cody critique thread (not sure if you guys have one…) if you want to get your cody viewed. Nothing against anyone but there is a place for that. Also, start posting good codys and edit that first post…it hurts my eyes.
Post stuff of like ryan hunter or sabre for example.

The other videos fall into 1 of 3 other categories (Excluding the early part of the thread where it was a lot of move specualtion and initial gameplay.)

Initial Draft. All input is welcome. I made sure to put the Ultra used after every player and color coded it. I figured since a U1 cody would play different than an U2 cody a person looking for information would want to be able to distinguish between them when looking for information. I made a separate class for tournaments and online play and then I added the good misc videos at the end.
