that cody isnt even linking because of online. Even a bad cody knows to punish with standing medium punch-down hard punch or standing close hardpunch- down med punch. he should be Linking close standing MP into down MP at the very least. Ive only played online afew times and i hate it. It makes easy links hard. I wouldnt take any of these matches seriously.

I dont know what this term means. But i will be honest with you, my cody can combo very good . But i am new to SF. So i dont know match ups well. To me it is not elite to link normals. This guy never uses one link… To me that is online at its best. Online makes poeple have bad habits , as even i will admit i was a online player for years.
How the fuck u know that cody ain’t got no links off one video, reading too much into one video and linking a short from jabs is a link.
On a punish why would you not at least link standing hard punch into down medium punch ? why? its so easy, i am new and i already know to punish with that. I am not saying the cody player is bad. I would blame online, thats why it doesnt look like diago. Even if its not diago its dan who is also a sick ryu. You see how many focus attacks he hits with. Online is such bs.

Japanese online is always 5 bars. They have 60mbps fibre optic connections and a very small country. Their online is nothing like our online. Why do you think Mago, Tokido, Makoto, Headpress and a ton of others are willing to play online over there?
Also he had a guaranteed dizzy off that jump-in combo. Why bother going for the link when the dizzy’s just going to interrupt it anyway?

He hits with focus attack at least 3 times. Im pretty sure even standing medium punch - down medium punch takes more than just hard punch. So why not do that AT THE VERY LEAST on a hit focus attack. Maybe he was playing safe cause he knows gameinn is diago or dan and he was nervous and didnt wanna drop any easy punishes, but that still speaks for his skill as a player.
