Your thoughts on Omega SFIV? LOL

Those games attempted to have some sort of balance though, Omega is made without balance in mind.

If the mode is more balanced or as balanced as MvC2 then I think it’s irrelevant what Capcom intended or attempted. If it’s on that level and it’s fun then there’s no stopping it… unless there’s a concerted effort in the FGC to bury it, maybe.

So? In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter if something was developed with balanced in mind. MvC2 was sloppy put together and look what happened there.

hey there F@ggot, passive aggressiveness is the the most pussy form of confrontation.

these salty tears are delicious

Ultra PC Netcode Fighter IV: BETA NEVER DIES

I cant wait, the previews look good. I like KOF more the SF, and this makes SF more like KOF.

Has it been confirmed Omega will not have input shortcuts? I would really like to see how some of the top players and online warriors fair against a version of SF4 without shortcuts.

I really …really hope the next SF will not have shortcuts.

i doubt a mode aimed for casuals wouldn’t have short cuts

As someone who doesn’t like SF4 that much: this is dope. I like all of the nods to other games (Ken’s shippu, Guile having some of Remy and Charlie’s moves etc). Interested to see what they do with Rose, hopefully she gets some of her old Alpha stuff back. Gen, too.

Also, I’m assuming the Omega versions of characters just get buff EX moves but can’t do supers.

edit: Also, it’s a shame they didn’t keep Honda’s tableflip from Alpha 3. That super was too good. (*not actually good)

  2. That Ryoma Power stone picture… Ah’ yes, back when Capcom was the shit, you bring me joy with your good taste. hehe’

Off-Topic I remember TS way back when Shoryuken.com received it’s make-over. Before the 09er days. I think the website was like a pale white or somethin’

Good times reading srk.com

Anywho @TS brings up a good point…will characters have new supers and/or ultras?

Also I think I’ll be using this for Omega

:^) Mash on

A ‘free’ gameplay update that doesn’t effect the primary game? Okay, I’ll take that. Will I screw around with the characters? Sure. Will I play around with it online? Sure. What’s the harm? Will I play this more than Ultra? Couldn’t say, but probably not. This will either become a neat little game mode that potentially takes off, or it will fade into nothingness. Either way it doesn’t really matter because Omega doesn’t effect the primary game, or anybody’s ability to still enjoy that.

Granted, I can understand the criticism that there are a bunch of (supposed) issues with the current game that haven’t been addressed. Instead we get this mode that nobody was asking for (I guess). I can understand that position. But it does seem like arguing over spilled milk. Some people are moaning over features they want to have in the game in lieu of Omega Mode. I feel that’s completely off topic. It’s one thing to argue about bugs/glitches etc. that need fixing before we’re offered superflous game modes. But it’s another thing to cry foul because some feature that was never promised isn’t being implemented into the game over some other thing that was never promised. GTFO. Bitching about which free thing should have priority over any other free thing is a ridiculous circle jerk.

Wait, so trials are way more desired than a new mode that completely changes a 6-year-old game for the sake of absolute fun?

Umm. Yeah.

I thought omega sf4 would have more positive reactions…

It’s getting plenty; more than a majority of the the people won’t mind it and I’ve seen people say they will pick up Ultra now.

Kind of defeats the purpose of adding the mode to begin with if there aren’t shortcuts.

That makes zero sense. How does removing input shortcuts mean that they can’t add Omega mode? You can’t do Down Foward - Down - Down Forward + Punch and get a DP, so they can’t add a new target combo or special move that uses qcf input? Or a new DP move?

I can’t wrap my head around your logic whatsoever lol.

It will get it
Actually if you watch outside the niche bubble of srk forum, it’s already getting positive comments

And even here, consider that for many is just theyr moment to be vocal about it, be it genuine reasonable criticism or classic internet watch-me-i’m-so-Pro posturing bullshit

If Omega end up being someway playable (read not totally retard broken) i can see even here on SRK peoples have fun with it

As much many actual pro players and wannabe purist pretend is going to be only a negative thing, for many others after years (i’ve buy Vanilla at day1) it sound like a fun idea, new fresh air.

The irony is the fact that we will see so extreme changes only on a fun/not-official mode, is itself some kind of sign of respect to the uber conservative hardcore audience… again, many of the omega stuff is probably going to be dropped ideas from the SF4 prototype cut to don’t upset them, not crazy casual’s internet suggestions

Basically is a free, optional mode that allow them, for once, to do something without be hostage of that core ever willing to scream we-are-dooomed or welcome any new thing with a lulz mugen bullshit

And actually all the whining get more fun when you see peoples whine about “they should fix PC online before!!!” and at the same time ignore that before Omega will be released v1.04

And when is not about that is that, is about money$: they’re wasting our re$ource$!
Too bad they don’t consider that
-They don’t “have” re$ource$. You pay money, you get the game. Any patch/fix/improvement is nice and welcome but never guaranteed. And to be fair Capcom is far from being the worst (fucking Soul Calibur :frowning: ) and is still supporting/fixing the game after 7 years, wich is an absolute first time in FG history
-Omega is likely going to be a very very low cost job for them (unused animations/moves, animations recycle, minor new stuff) that can give them a nice $$$ return under the form of new players (casuals that buy USF4) or returning bored players that never updated to Ultra.
If this work it can actually both make USF4 create more money and increase again the base, two things that can push Capcom to keep (after 7 fucking years) work on improve/balance the game

Basically is free (and God forgive me, look fun), we still getting PC online patch and for them make sense under the $$$ pov

I’m sure there are actual good reasons to be upset and that not all the players against it are retard whiners, but in many case it sound like a nice combo of

A- @ Capcom "Waaaaa Capcom don’t sacrifice every single ml of blood/sweat/tears to us uber hardcore no-fun-allowed niche! They are making a cheap almost zero cost mode aimed at that semi-casual/casual that is only a 70/80% of the actual fanbase! Betrayal!"
B- @ Internet "look peoples i’m Pro at gaming, fun is for casuals"
C- @ Players that find the idea fun

It looks a LOT better then SF4.

What doesn’t look better than SF4?
