Your combo doesn't work, stop making videos

95% of the combos people are making will not work in a real game. There is an infinite protection mechanic that allows players to burst out of combos. You need to try these combos on real people, to ensure that it cannot be broken.

I don’t think I need to mention that groundbounce combos aren’t going to work, either. Players can tech this!

Do a bit of research, find stuff, then go online to see if it’s plausible! Do not waste your time making combos that be easily broken!

And here we start to understand the problems with the SG’s training mode.

Was wondering how long it would take.

Aww poop, my ground bounce combos were pretty cute too.

This sucks.

This is not a problem.
It’s funny but not a problem.
Just give it time the casuals will be weeded out in the next few months then the quality will start to appear.
I am really hoping they stay hands off with the update/content balancing patch’s and stop catering to the crybaby brigade.

You can only get one untechable knockdown/OTG per combo. Knock someone down, look at the hit effects on the ground. A red hit effect means it’s the first knockdown in that combo and you can OTG without a possible ground recovery. Let them flop around for a bit and the second hit effect will be blue, signaling a possible ground recovery. Hitting with a sweep or a select few special case attacks (Parasoul’s j.HP and Fortune’s j.HK outside of a chain) will always cause the blue hit effect, meaning OTGs never work off of these moves.

You can ground and wall bounce someone as many times as you want in a combo. No red or blue hit effects here!

Anything that triggers an infinite obviously shouldn’t be in a combo video unless that video was recorded on VHS and has star wipes.

players can tech groundbounces.

You don’t know what a ground bounce looks like.

It’s a problem because you really should be able to set the dummy to tech – there’s no reason not to be able to. And it’s annoying to have to try to learn untechable combos when without a clear indication of what can be teched in training.

Enlighten me, then?

Again not really a problem.
It’s funny but not a problem.
This is a feature as such should be a feature request.

I have no issues with a feature request thread. Fuck i might start one myself, but this is not a bug/problem/glitch.

It also makes for high comedy for nub stylists.

Make any combo video you want. Who cares if they can’t be used in a match. It’s all about seeing how far you can go with the system at this point. The right combos will come around in time, but for now go balls out! No limit!!

The whole point of training mode is that it should teach people how to do things better. A training mode that neglects to inform you that something you’re doing just flat out doesn’t work (by nature of lacking a key feature that demonstrates this, such as dummy options for auto block or auto tech) isn’t a good training mode. The concept of it being “high comedy for nub stylists” is asinine and condescending – how is a new player supposed to know a combo won’t work if the game doesn’t inform them of it?

It’s more annoying than it is funny – we’re coming right out of the gate teaching people bad habits.

Hit someone with Cerebella’s qcf+PP. You’ll notice they hit the ground a lot during the super. Those are ground bounces. The hit effect as they ground bounce is an off-white color. On the last hit they pop up into the air. This is the ground bounce with a full animation. When they hit land at the end of that they show a red hit effect. This is a knockdown. OTG with c.LK > c.MP xx qcf+PP. Watch the multiple ground bounces again. When the super ends, they still get the full animation/floaty ground bounce. When they hit the ground this time, it’s a knockdown with a blue hit effect and you can’t OTG because of ground recovery.

Lol your assumption that new players hit training mode is what’s asinine and condescending.
You do realize most “New Players” will never ever use training mode for anything right?
And most seasoned players will spend more time right now actually playing not trying to perfect a combo.

You really want to work on combo’s then work on them in match’s like where you actually want to use them.
I have never understood that mentality.
You want a combo you can use as a go to when fighting someone but you do not want to fight someone to work on landing it…

I don’t think you understand what these words mean.

Whatever you say though.

I don’t think you understand the spirit of my post or you would understand why i am using them verbatim.

Holy shit THREAD OF THE YEAR.

This fourm is going places.

I’m at a point where I’m putting more faith in your name than anything you have to say, to be honest.

Go go reading comprehension!

Put it in my join date if you want to go that route.
