Alright so maybe one of you guys can help me. I’m trying to learn the flame loop and I’m stuck on one part of. When I launch them for the first time and do the palm flame 3 times on the 4th palm when I’m supposed to land after it, it either doesn’t come out at all or it comes out too late and it drops. What am I doing wrong? I assume its my spacing that’s off but before I start the loop in the air I hit them with a light mystic sword which is supposed to space it properly I thought.
Isn’t that the same problem that Class Real had?
Read the above posts and see if it helps.
Are you mashing, I tend to find that helps me out and which character are you trying it on.
Wow it was literally the exact same problem. And lo and behold I was doing it too fast it looks like. I slowed it down a bit and now it seems pretty consistent. Also I was mashing at first. Now I decided to actually do the inputs correctly instead of mash. Its actually much more comfortable now.
Never mash with Strange, it just doesn’t work.
He’s all about timing requirements, not fast inputs (for the most part).
I have like 2 weeks’ worth of free time, so one of these days I should be available to stream that tutorial and whatnot. Just need to make an outline of the topics of discussions is all.
Wait, can I get notations for FoF loops? And does it work after IP loops?
First page.
Yes.
My idea came around exactly because of Mazio’s challenge.
His challenge says combos overall, with anyone. They only need to be stylish, or hard for some reason. At least that’s what I thought the challenge was.
But nevermind, it was only an idea
And I would also love to see a Strange-stream… too bad we live worlds apart, guys
wow… i know i’m super late on this, but i finally see how the FoF loop is supposed to work. it is indeed about spacing. i was too close to the opponent while trying to do it. since i just got my UMVC3 plat, i’m planning on taking my team to the next level, and FoF loop is something i want to be able to do.
my question is how do you always space yourself properly for the FoF loop in a real match?
EDIT: almost forgot. i wanted to show you guys this. my gamertag has been strange-ified!

For myself, if I hit with Strange in the corner, my combo automatically space right.
After IP loop I do air series, call Wesker with backdash, walk a bit forward and I get it about the right distance, from there it’s all about making adjusments on the fly
- Familiarization with stage length
- Midscreen FoF to corner carry
- Wall carrying-assist (i.e. wallbounce or something like Rapid Slash)
- st.H, cr.H, or IP xx Flame early on in the combo (st.H on an airborne opponent has a lot of pushback)
I always space it right with an assist (for when I use him on point) or timing my wall-carries differently to enable a FOF-optimal height and distance for the opponent after the last impact palm
midscreen fof loop is too hard for me, i dont get it u.u a tutorial would be appreciated
I will. Y’all should just let me know when’s a good time since I’m usually just at home these days.
Arrrm around 10PM for EC ? (UTC-6 I’m always get confused by that)
me too. Lets use the term ‘x hours from now’ shall we?
Can this happen on a weekend?
I’m usually busy during the week, as I’m sure most people are.
By the way, my timezone is EST.
So while Mazio decide the date for his live tutorial, i will be making a new vid for my Thor/Strange/Ammy team. The old vid tech looks so outdated and week 1… my corner combo takes 900k now before of hyper and not 800k like the one in the old vid >_>
And since im starting to get the midscreen fof loop i think i will add some of that stuff too
@mr bronson i think this upcoming vid will answer your questions about dogtor advanced synergy
