I’m not sure if it greatly improves damage or whatever, and it’s a bit finicky. From what I can remember, there are two versions you can do:
First version (easier):
…S (call Doom), SJ, IP xx Flame, IP xx Flame, IP, land, IP (Missiles hit) xx Flight, fly back, [IP xx Flame]x3, IP, land, IP xx Flame, IP xx Mystic Sword M xx SoV
Second version (more swag, I think less damage):
…IP (call Doom), S, SJ, IP xx Flame, IP xx Flight (Missiles hit), fly up, [IP xx Flame]x2, IP xx unfly, IP, land, ender of your choice
I still think it’s worth investing time into learning though, as you can do this extension as long you have one more possible rep of the Faltine loop left.
So the dumbass commentating is saying Strange is gimmicky and he doesn’t respect it, but once he sees the same stupid Virgil combo everyone has seen a million times that’s 300 times easier to land and perform, he says it’s “real play?”
Who is this fucking idiot? Tele-sworders deserve more respect than Strange and Haggar?
I’ve never seen any commentator trash talk Strange as much as those two did. At first I was like “Are these guys retarded?”. Then at 17:20-17:30 it all became clear to me when he said “Why would he level 3 Vergil? I would rather level 3 Trish.”
They clearly know little to nothing about game and are talking out of their asses. The real question for me is, who let these two ignorant morons commentate?
Regardless, that Strange was very impressive. That is the definition of a Strange player with an amazing neutral game. He had good hitconfirms, didn’t drop combos all that much; and I loved some of his incoming set-ups.
Needless to say, that is one of the best Strange’s I have ever seen; hands down.
Well for one, you missed out on one potential rep of the FoF loop. Before going into the launcher, IP stuff, you can end your j.MMH~IP Palm loops in the corner with [j.IP xx Flame]x3, j.IP, land, IP, then 2 reps of the Faltine loop. At this point, it’s a little hard to manage the height of your opponent, but if you can do it, there’s your third bar easily.
Thanks! I’m trying to pick Strange up since his combos are pretty fancy but I do have a problem against good rush down and fast beams to get something started.
Builds 3.1 meters (1 because of the down TAC), gets level 1 Frank to level 5, does 732k damage, and can be done anywhere on screen.
This combo is pretty easy to do as well.
Fun fact: Without usage of the EoA assist for the double camera shot this combo has exactly 50 hits, meaning Frank will get to level 4, does 682k damage, and builds about 2.9 meters.
Talking about Frank reminded me of hard tagging in characters in mid combo, ain’t some characters will really benefit from tagging Strange to do his combo of their hit (I can only think of She-Hulk for the moment)
Should I go for Serp’s TAC into 2reps of FoF loop, or should I learn the unfly variation? Serp’s is abit easier on the timing and I’m able to get 2reps of FoF out of it.
