Awesome combos dude really shows the full potential of the DHC and the maximization of Strange’s damage. Also it seems that doom is one of the best assist for him, being able to extend combos and provide zoning support. I am currently trying to work out how to incorporate rapid slash into Strange’s combos to improve damage and meter gain also.
I have some tech on that. Gonna record it tomorrow or on sunday
I’m looking forward to it dude, I wish I could contribute visually but just don’t have a recorder. Hope you don’t mine if I still some of that tech Also I see you adopted my team/our team, so can’t wait to see some matches of you performing with it:)
Yeah, I was testing it today. I think I need to get a better grip on Vergil’s neutral game, be more defensive, play him as a KOF-point character, abusing long pokes and the judgement cuts. I cant go ham like ‘every-man’s Vergil’. Also, I’m willying to try some different formations, such as Wesker/Strange/Vergil or Strange/Vergil/Hawkeye. Anyways, Strange/Vergil/Doom, the ‘Mame-Strange’ is really powerful. I’ll try to record some online matches.
About stealing the tech: DONT EVEN ASK, bro. This wouldn’t even be here if you havent showed me the light to start the loop after an SoV. And even if you cant contribute visually, you gave me the theory, I just turned it into a video. It is not my tech: it’s ours. Thats the reason for the big thanks to you in the very beginning of it, Drebin. Not to say we are all sorcerers here, so if this helps everyone, so be it. I want to see our char get the respect he deserves.
hey guys, ive got a question for you Strange experts, is it completely necessary to run him first (using 2 assists) or is it ok to run hit as a second?. I was thinking of something like Zero/Strange/Vergil or Doom.
I would say run Strange second always if you’re not running Lariat/Tatsu/Missiles assist in the back.
Some stuff with my new team. The thing with Vergil attempting Helm Breaker on entry is my “don’t press buttons” confirm.

Nice setup, definitely gonna use that corner mixup.
Just a tip, if you end up being too close to the opponent when doing Faltine loops (when you’re grounded) and you’re worried that the combo might drop, you can always link a snapback on reaction since it’s 2 frames and Strange is +3 on hit off a lvl 1 Flame. It will always work, even at point blank range. This lets you keep momentum on your side and you even get a free welcome mixup.
Also, the lvl 1 grounded Flame loop is a true infinite on smaller characters like Zero. Normal to heavy characters will eventually drop.
I would like to ask why people say faltine loop is impractical midscreen? Shouldn’t EVERYONE be doing this?
I can confirm it off of Mystic Sword L > H - IP {S hold UF, immediately IP fotf IP land, dash IP} repeat brackets.
Really? lvl 1 ground? I always get pushed back too far.
Midscreen Faltine loop is the best. Best case scenario I can get 1m off a Disruptor crossup. Just have to get the knack for when to delay your Palm, and you can only get that through practice and familiarization.
why delay your palm? I always delay my SJ and then immediately jump and palm.
Whatever works, lol. Sometimes I delay both.
Can Strange get faltine loop after IP loop with Wesker? (the other assist is Morrigan…)
yeap. do the regular IP-loop into regular air combo. After the j.S, call Wesker and dash back to followup the IP. This version of the flame-loop will focus more on the horizontal spacing than on the vertical one, it is slightly harder imo. But it only requires adjustment
That should pretty much generate ToD with Strange/Wesker should get my mahvel copy back and hit the lab
Off snapbacks: call Ammy, TK Flame is really dirty. Opponent has to block the meaty Flame, and they can’t press buttons otherwise it combos into Ammy assist and Strange gets a free corner loop. On block (advance guard doesn’t matter), opponent has to guess high, low, or throw as soon as they touch the ground. That’s not even counting the fuzzies.
BEST ASSIST EVER.
Played around with Strange early on pick and drop him all the time
So as a newly committed Strange player what do i need to know?
What are his go to combo i.e corner, mid and X-factor/loop?
Video or notation. I will prefer simple and consistent combo.
Thanks
