Stealing that EOA into teleport M at full screen distance trick on incoming characters…

Can someone post for me the ideal combo into Astral Magic? I wanna be able to get max damage before I call upon the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth.

How do you convert jump loop into FoF loop inside the corner.
If I recognize the corner in time I do C 6C S FoF but that really about recognizing the corner at the exact distance, is there any way to do it if the jump loop rep ended right on the corner?

Also, if you didn’t already know; you can only do 3 reps of the IP loop on the Vita.

If you use mystic sword L after the OTG, it shortens to 2 reps. =/

Not sure what the most ideal one is, but I’m sure it would be after a long loop, into impact palm, then level 3.

The easiest to pull off would probably be right after the IP loop like this:

Guys, the new pickup after SoV, XF, Teleport H is Impact Palm, delayed FoF (cancel as late as possible), Impact Palm, Flame, Impact Palm, land, dash forward Impact Palm into whatever. This lets you pick up at super jump height, midscreen. It’s possible to do this if the opponent is at the peak of SJ height, but it is far more consistent if they have already descended a bit. In the corner, it’s also the same Impact Palm, late cancelled Flame thing, except you just do Impact Palm xx Fly, Impact Palm xx Unfly, Impact Palm, land, j.H ~ Impact Palm into whatever infinite/loop you want.

This works on all levels of XF. USE IT. I’ve been in the lab for several hours just working on this. Watching FChamp’s Magneto inspired me to play this game again for a bit, so yeah. Strange can now kill the likes of pesky Dooms who hang around in the air shooting projectiles at you.

Nice, I’ve been labbing with this and its worked for me. The SJ height confirm is a bit difficult but timing it well could get you a TOD.

wow nice, i have been toying with that concept for the up TAC, but never though of using it for SJ height XFC kills. GDLK as always Mazio.

AND, i was inspired by FChamp Dorm play as well; so right now Dorm most powerful tool is Inferno (2D1C spell). I think Strange has something that can work more or less the same. Two grace L and one grace M right above the two graces L at regular jump height. This is basically and anti-air trap with softknockdown that allow easy hitconfirms into the IP loop. So Strange can set up a really threatening zoning with this anti-air trap right in front of him with the help of some assist, EOA, Daggers, Mystic swords, etc. All he need is a kill, or some time for the setup, much like Dorm does; once the trap and the EOA is out, i think it will be very hard for whatever character to get in.

I really want to look into that Agamatto Lock from back then. EOA + Yellow Grace FOF is pretty good.

Spell of Vishanti, XFC, teleport H, j.IP, j.Flame of faltine (delayed the most possible), j.IP at once, teleport M at once, s.IP, Mystic Sword L, (regular jump forward, j.MH IP, land)x2, s.H, s.IP, s.S, superjump, j.MMH IP, teleport M, s.IP, s.S, superjump, j.H IP, teleport M, s.IP, s.S, suerjump, j.H IP, teleport M, etc.

character at SJ. height in the corner
Spell of Vishanti, XFC, teleport H, j.IP, fly, j.IP, unfly, delay, j.IP, flame, j.IP, land, (regular neutral jump, j.MH IP, land)x3, delay, s.H, s.IP, s.S, superjump, j.MMH IP, teleport L, s.IP, s.S, etc

for characters above the SJ height (characters that can airdash upward and double jump) the regular pick up wont work, so Strange will need two graces L right in front of him or very close for this tech to work:

Vishanti, XFC, flame of the faltine Lv2/3, teleport M, dash backward, eye of agamotto (the eye will catch the falling character), j.MMH IP, (j.MH IP)x2, s.H, s.IP, s.S, etc. This work as well against character at SJ height.

So that’s it, Modok, Trish, Doom, Zero, Maybe Dorm, etc need to watch out in their approach and keepaway game way more now or they are going to eat a TOD combo from anywhere on the screen.

you sir have just saved my life probably. I was getting frustrated since I couldnt get any big damaging combos with Dorm’s assist.

think of it as magnetic blast motion wise… i used to have the same problem.

so its s. j direcrly up then you do a qcf from the upper side,(magnetic blast). into impact palm

I decided to start playing Strange again; going to run Zero/Dante/Strange (I know I know Strange is a bad anchor but there’s some technology here and I think it’s worth it). I was actually wondering if any of you guys found any good ways to extend Dante’s combos using Strange’s assists (preferably the EoA). I asked on the Dante boards but the number of them also playing Strange is probably rather small.

I’m pretty sure you can do something with Rain Storm + EoA. Off throws maybe? But then it’ll make Dante’s scaling even more horrendous lol.
