Ugh, I’m finding it hard to do more than 3 reps after starting a combo with Wesker. I can trigger the glitch but for whatever reason they fall out of the j.L a lot.
I’m starting to think you’re not allowed to end the normal jump air series with Impact Palm aka a command normal. j.H, land, j.L will trigger the glitch but Palm, land j.L will only trigger under what I think is a just frame link.
Oh well. I really just wanted to see if Strange could trigger the glitch the same way as the others, and I ended up spending more time on it than I planned lol. Don’t know how you guys will develop it if you even deem this stuff practical, but no harm in trying I guess.
I tried starting the combo using the Ryan Hunter IP Loop Starter. Kinda works, Palm xx Flame xx Palm is what’s causing me to drop this stuff. I really would just go into the Flame Loop since its possible and builds meter, but this is something to try. Thanks Mazio for the tech.
No problem. I’ll let you guys put up the video for this one. I just wanted to kickstart this thing. If you guys can find a more practical way to land this infinite in at least 2 directions (so it’s a 50/50), I’m quite sure Strange’s value as a 2nd character will rise dramatically. Not only do you get a DHC that leads to free kills with X-Factor, you can also corner carry into a TAC and kill anyone with no meter needed, all while building 5 bars, and getting a free welcome mixup on the next character.
Yeah don’t be afraid to bring in the derp now. Looks like everyone has ways to kill you now as long as they have some way to get some extra air time after a TAC. Gotta kill people with your infinite before they kill you with theirs. Raw launchers into TAC infinite is technically a viable strategy now.
Read about the new tech on IRC yesterday and moments later it was posted on SRK, then on IRC Mr.Wizard was saying that they wouldn’t ban infinites…
So after reading that characters are capable of this, I wanted to see if anyone else from the Strange Army figured it out yet for Doctor Strange.
Has anyone also tried using his j.:s:? I was in a session last night after I came home from work, so I couldn’t get into the lab, but I’ll be doing just that when I get home tonight. I feel that this is possible by flying/unflying and FoF and using j.:s: [I’m just picturing this as I’m at work, but if anyone can fiddle around, please let us know]
Gonna have another go at this TAC infinite business tomorrow. Wanna see if I can include Strange’s flight somewhere mid-combo-- I think we can do something similar to Sentinel’s version.
I spent a few minutes in the lab just now, but I really don’t think anything is reliable enough to be practical, sadly. The current starter relies on a 1-frame link just to start it off. The reason the other infinites are easy is because they have a timing mechanism that lets them easily time the falling hit as they land. Strange doesn’t seem to have that from what I can tell.
Also, to Rotendo, I believe using a J.S might work, but wouldn’t be useful because it does basically the same thing J.H does. It just adds another gimmick in the form of having an even smaller hitbox to work with. Good idea though!
What is the most practical way to go for FoF after TAC? I usually just teleport down, then palm, S, and one repeat of the loop ( can’t seems to get the 2nd). Any better ideas (better a practical for a match).
depens on the TAC. Some pages earlier have some notations for down and up TACs.
I still think he has an infinite. Only thing is that one billion people play other chars, so there are more than lets say 10 people looking on their infinites.
We’re hella good with our char, but we are still very few.
IMO don’t wrack your brain trying to come up with the infinite for Strange. If Niitsuma has any shred of concern for the FGC and the welfare of his game in the competitive scene in general, this will get patched out in a couple of months, just like the DHC glitch.
If chances are that he doesn’t have an infinite, we still have a way to TOD of off a TAC. FoF loop. I’m pretty sure if anyone tried to do a slightly delayed palm loop before landing from a TAC, we’d get somewhere but we really don’t need it.
Is there some timing to FoF? I’ve been trying it on the Vita but I don’t know how to get the palm after the Flame without the character flipping out the combo.
