I really wish you guys would stop starting your combos with jump attacks… Most of the time, that’s not how you’re gonna confirm hits with Strange anyway.

Is there a way to use doom at the end of a combo to extend into an extra faltine loop after the faltine loops have completed? It’s easy to use him for corner carry to get into the loops themselves, but if I don’t need to corner carry I’m wondering if there is a way to use him for a 4th loops or something considering he carries them into the air and has unscaled hitstun.

I’ll continue looking for it myself as well. I’ve sometimes been able to just call doom during the launch do like 2 palm faltines then land and super jump and do it but it doesnt seem consistent enough.

I always confirm with j.H’s crossup though. I did that confirm since it was for a challenge at the brazilian umvc3 boards, thats all :3

Just got this, which seems alright, I still wonder if theres a way to get a raw 4th loop.

That was sweet as fuck! I was always thinking on getting the missiles to extend it grounded, nice seeing that it can be done airborne. :smiley:

Fuck this character, picked him up this morning and I should be spending time in training mode with my real team but these loops are too fun. And why are his level 3 and win animation so much better than everyone elses?

I’m new to Strange, should I just go in and learn Faltine loops immediately or should I start with something else? Faltine loops look like they’re the best possible combos in any situation at this point.

They’re mostly the best end-combo extension. Spend 30 minutes to get down his jump loops to fill in the gaps while you get your FoF loops match ready. They’re def. worth getting down tho.

GUYS, i think it’s about time that we develop the best Strange TAC combo options after of

  1. Up, left/right and down TACs midscreen
  2. Up, left/right and down TACs in the corner

The rules are:

  1. the air exchange must come out after of adding a ton of hits and hitstun deterioration, to the point where the combo will just drop (+500k before the TAC if possible, and preferably starting with 0 bar)
  2. assists and THCs allowed (missiles, cold star, rapid slash, beams, spencer grapple, everything)
  3. I know Strange can relaunch and do another TAC (call another character, repeat, etc) but lets keep the Dr. swag alone
  4. The idea is to beat that Doom swag combo on both damage and meter gain, don’t forget that he and Dorm are the Strange competence for best 2nd character! and TACs are very important for claiming this status.
  5. Astral Magic allowed, but the goal is to charge enough bar, while killing Thor (if possible) with 1 bar.
  6. Must work on every character (ok maybe not on Raccoon and Shuma)

I call out Mazio, Tortonon, Low Tier Fear, and pretty much everybody in this thread.

Doom adds 500k damage from an up TAC in the corner while charging 1,4 extra bar and expending one.

I’m not playing this game anymore, fyi. I’m not gonna go into detail again about why, but yeah. I just lurk here from time to time to see if you guys are still coming up with new stuff for the Doc, and it looks like you are, so keep it up.

dude… this is gonna be really hard. I sincerely dont see anywhere to go at least on the corner stuff we already have.

The best thing we got so far (and since it is REALLY good, might be the best we will ever have) is flame-looping.

We can get to FoF-loops from each of the corner-TACs, so I think that’s it.

TAC combos rely pretty much on airdashes and flight. We have some cool stuff with flight, but unfortunately Strange lacks the airdash to do real nasty stuff out of a TAC. probably if we could do an EoA in the air before cancelling the flight or something…

but I really doubt we could outclass any char that’s got flight and airdashes.

anyways, we can try.

midscreen we can put work though, I really think we can.

Dont forget we have the Palm!, and the flame, and the EOA, and the soft knockdown of Flame Lv2. Keep the ideas going on Tortonon :slight_smile:

Strange, Iron Man, Doom has some cute tech, I found an infinite combo! Not in the way you would think though…

I think your followup after the THC with Ammy and all may be a viable post-midscreen-TAC combo, with the EoA and all…

If I want to extend my FoF loop (it the jump loop right?) when i get to the corner i just do:

Nope, no flight. You just have to be at a great position. The FoF-loop gets Strange backwards each rep, so when grounded you want to be technically below the enemy, with the palm hitting him with the higher part of its hitbox. This will allow you to do 2/3 reps in the ground, not to say it will position Strange to the optimal distance for the flame-loop (which would be diagonally below).
