Agree 100% with this. Not worth imo. Flame loops best use is for extending combos when normal IP loops would drop.
This. Just use whatever works for you and judge if your execution can handle it. Nerves never stopped the greatest musicians from doing amazing solos because muscle memory will take over. Same thing applies with FGs and practicing combos. Pretty damn sure Marlinpie gets his execution and I manage to do all this Strange stuff because off all that time spent practicing. Just don’t be so quick to write something off as impractical without putting the work to mastering it first. That’s all I’m saying.
Alot of people thought half of Magnetos combos were impractical…Joker does them every game, every combo lol.

I can at last flame-loop consistently. I discovered what the problem was, and I feel SO dumb. Apparently my motions are always longer than they should be, and I used to always press down-forward in the air right after I jumped, so I was doing a j.H, not the palm. Now, I can do it, and I gotta say…
I think we’ve been hitting people with nothing more than wall carries, my friends. Since Maziodyne discovered this connection from the loops into the flame-loop, our regular combos as of now just look like ways to carry the enemies to the corner in order to start firing them up with FoFs…
Told you it wasn’t so hard. 
Strange’s combos are like Vanilla Magneto, where your only important midscreen combo is simply your best wall carry into Hyper Grav loop into DHC Glitch. Except with Strange you’re killing your opponents the “legit” way, and spending a single bar at most to kill majority of the cast.
I feel like showing off a little by doing some freestyle Strange XF swag combos (because he can, the benefits of having a bunch of infinites that can transition into each other seamlessly is amazing for your swag) so I’m definitely gonna go and do that when I get home.
i.e. Teleport loop -> Midscreen Flames -> Fly-unfly -> Flames infinite,
or Midscreen Flames -> Fly-unfly -> EoA loop -> Flames infinite.
Something like that.
Hella sick… but I love the ping-pong xfc combo too much to do anything else.
It looks HELLA BOSSY to jump, j.H j.Palm j.TeleportM on and on.
I always wanna corner carry as much as possible because welcome mixups with Strange/Ammy are really nasty.

mm well, the best Strange solo mixup on incoming characters is: EOA at a distance from the corner, character gets in, impact palm, teleport H. In XF Lv2-3 it leads to a TOD if there is a hitconfirm.

I’m considering playing him ‘Wolverinescally’, burning XFC to kill the first character, mix the 2nd one up and kill him as well (by this time you’ll have 4 meters, like 4 SoVs if you would) to zone the 3rd guy down using missiles, the cold-star and Strange himself…
Also, I am in charge of both Strange and Doom’s guide at our brazilian scene biggest portals,
so they asked me to come up with a gathering of the TAC options for Doom. I used the opportunity to do some FoF
on the 2P side. Video coming up in a few (gotta still edit it, but it’ll be here by the end of the night)
If you do it this way, all the more reason to run Strange 2nd IMO. You’ll have more XF time and access to his infinite so you corner combos are guaranteed kills. XF1 might have too little time, I think.
It was just an option against teams like Spencer/CheapMoFo/Assist… I want to run him first and have Doom 2nd for the missiles extensions and sphere flame DHCing.

Nice. FoF loop could be longer though, but good stuff nonetheless. Don’t forget you can TAC after the last Impact Palm before landing when you’re doing the FoF loop.

That being said…holy shit, FOF loops are hard. Lol. I thought I’d have an easier time than most since I play hitbox and precise inputs aren’t a problem but I don’t really understand the spacing requirements on it at all, apparently.
There’s two ways to look at it basically. First is if you’re going by horizontal distance: if you’re in the corner, load up the training mode stage and look at the floor tiles. Strange should be at the third square from the corner at all times. Try to keep him there using tools such as st.H, Mystic Sword L, and Palm xx Flames which make him move back a little bit. If you’re going by vertical, simply make sure the opponent is above the hitbox of Impact Palm. You’ll see what I mean if you try delaying your super jump after launcher then doing the usual Palm xx Flames thing.
What makes it complicated is that you gotta be slow and delay the s.jump and then speed-up ASAP right after it for the palm. It is like riding a bicycle, there will be a moment when it just clicks and it will start working. I’m FoF-looping in online matches at the end of combos now, sooo sick. Just did the Ammy-confirm into alzarath into missile-extension into FoF-loop into lvl3. Boy that was pretty :3
ALSO IMPORTANT: go to the team thread… I’m thinking about replacing Ammy with a GTFO assist with some invincibility, since Strange will get mauled being the point char, and Cold-star wont deal with DIIIIIVEKIIIICKers and such. I’m tending to go Akuma. Frank would be awesome if he didnt require the team to play for him. Any other options worth looking at?

- no more reason to use Alzarath starter anymore
- no more reason to use midscreen Flames anymore. if you’re exactly midscreen, this blows it outta the water free.
- “corner confirming” is even more crucial now
