It sounds like you’re not controlling the strength of your ultra? After hitting ALL kicks immediately hit roundhouse.
Yeah I was just mashing my ultra out during the ultra flash and I guess it just kept giving me the LK version.

Against Blanka, try blocking standing up, and see if it works closer to the corner. There may be a limited distance you can punish it with U2. Also I can assume that EX hayate punishes it just fine?

unfortunately for the first one it’d typically be better to just do kara->FP->hayate->super->ultra simply because it does very similar damage and leaves you with a slight chance of more
also to comment…any reason for the EX kara at the end? if they’re going to reversal they’ll hit you regardless (armor break)…and if not you should have grabbed them with normal…unless you just wanted to burn that last meter
or with cody rocks unless you can really predict them

unfortunately my time with the game has ended but I assume not. if I recall during testing, we mistimed the ex.hayate after a blocked fierce ball and blanka was able to block. it seems like ex.hayate hits just before he lands on the ground. maybe if blanka is in the corner you can ex.hayate after a ball on hit. maybe even a regular hayate depending on the spacing but that I haven’t tested this theory at all
be interesting to find out though because blanka was giving me a REALLY hard time unless I turtled up. I’m not the best player but turtling up with makoto just felt so wrong
Maybe they lowered his recovery or somthing, because EX Hayate looks FAST.
Also, you make me very sad if you’re really in So Cal 626, because I am too, and I still haven’t found someone with Super yet =[

blanka will be really easy for makoto, i’m pretty certain. He’s weak against people who can punish balls on block, and further to that he’s weak against people who can apply good meaty pressure because he has no reversals except ex upball which is probably punishable on hit with makoto too.
oh believe me my fellow 626er, I had to drive a long way to even get a chance to play super. I don’t know of anybody in this area that has it but I haven’t looked that hard.
Anyone have any tips on kara karakasu? Maybe the shorcut system can somehow help in this situation? According to the Wiki, the leniency window for HCB motion is in the Forward and Down… so I’m thinking Forward +Lk ~ DB, B, LK/MK/HK? I just can’t execute it for the life of me. Ironically I can get Fp-> Hayate Faint -> s.MP -> s.MP -> (oroshi, hayate, ex etc) almost 70% of the time. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

If you st.mp a honda headbutt what are your followup options? eg st.mp (clean hit vs headbutt) x feint > kara oroshi (to beat throws and jumps) etc etc.
Vs max range tiger knee can st.mp beat it or trade? can she use any move at 1 character length to beat his startup like ryu st.lp?

Character specific, only confirmed working against Makoto herself so far. Timing is STRICT, probably 1 frame.
Will try to measure max range frame disadvantages for Hayate sometime soon and then theory the rest. It’s a bit busy here at the moment so I doubt I’ll get it done today.
