No that it’s in the correct place, to answer your questions: yes, you can switch out with GA and the assists will be powered up. When you call him back in the duration is the same as he had when tagged out.

So how is Arthur compared to other keep away characters like Dormammu and MODOK?
From what I’ve seen it looks like Dorm will have an advantage due to dark hole destroying projectiles and purification being an easy way to punish any floaty jumps Arthur has.
Modok seems like less of a difficulty, but his shield could possibly give Arthur’s daggers some problems. (At least his LOU powered shield.)
not having really played the game at all, dorm looks like he may counter arthur, MAY. his fullscreen super may obliterate arthurs fireballs and hit arthutr for free… that would be really bad cause arthur really has nothing going for him besides projectile spam. the ray of light is if arthurs bottle goes through dorms super… then arthur can spam bottle a bit to make dorm wary of using super as a punish.
but its just theoryfighter, athur may kill dorm… it just isnt looking that way to me ATM.
this. looks to me like arthur (and MODOK) keepaway loses to Dorm’s keepaway. However, arthur rushdown/pokes (yeah, i just said that, i mean look at the range on those normals!) could easily pick dorm apart and take advantage of the startup on dorm’s moveset. as always, we’ll just have to see how the game evolves.
Spent today playing a friend’s early copy of MvC3. Man, Arthur is such fucking bullshit. It’s awesome. Once he gets into that golden armour he becomes an engine of destruction. And his assists become re-fuckin-diculous. He’s just great fun to play.
So for those with the game, does he have his sword toss projectile or not? I was thinking not, but then he was using it in the vid with Seth and Sessler talking about him.
God damn, I got to play **against ** an Arthur and I must say he’s already in my hated list. He might compete for the king of chip along Dormmamu and Sentinel. Friend had him on point and Taskmaster assist and when I managed to close in through endless waves of fire, arrows and daggers (not to mention the ridiculous axe with golden armor) I was already down to half life. Oh yeah, blocking btw.
so, it says in the wolvie scans that arthurs projectile assist is best for him (wolverine) makes sense, i now think arthurs projectile assist may well be one of the better ones in the game, not to knock firebottle or anything, its obviously amazing. but arthurs projectile assist fully combos and doesnt scale damage much cause its only 3 hits. its looking better and better.
so arthur has 2 completely viable assists that may both be amongst the best in the game, or atleast comparable. arthur is looking alot better knowing this plus the things people have been sayiong about his annoyance factor. shits gonna be FUN!
oh and on some theory fighter shit, since gold armor is dhc’able, on hit arthur might be able to dhc into wolverine speed up and continue the combo from there… man that would be quite nice.
Please tell me you guys saw NerdJosh kicking ass with Arthur on the team Sp00ky stream. Since nice use of Goddess Bracelet and Daggers, damn! I’m sure if NerdJosh found out how to armour back up after losing armour he would’ve done even better than he already did.
yeah i really liked NJ’s arthur. he didnt re-up armor though. i also dont really agree with keeping arthur on the field for such long times when he has such good assists… there were plenty of times he could have dhc’d to storm from gold armor. but thats why different players make games so exciting, different takes are better.
i’m liking arthurs keepaway, especially since NJ wasnt using all of arthurs tools like against super skrulls teleport it would have been interesting to see if arthur could have shield countered it on reaction. also canceling regular daggers into dragon super on reaction to punish teleports looks good. MAN, really pleased with what ive been seeing and hearing. and that ground combo into otg bottle into boomerang>gold armor> launcher was sexy as hell, definitely a bnb that will be seen more. great stuff from nerdjosh, just imagine how good it will get when we start throwing axes and lances!
I imagine it’s pretty safe to add Sentinel to the “works well with Arthur” list thanks to NerdJosh’s display this evening. Good assist support from either regardless of who’s on point, good DHC’s back and forth between the two. The only thing I’m not sold on with Josh’s team is Storm. I think maybe someone with an anti-air assist would be better in that role to make it even harder to get in on the front line of Arthur/Sent. Granted freeze! ice storm!! goes a long way in making up for her non-essential assist contribution to the team.
i can tell you that dorm vs arthur may be slightly in dorms favor. but CHRIS vs arthur is a VERY difficult matchup. chris can spam jump in magnums from an angle thats very hard for arthur to deal with, and if the magnum hits chris can otg for about 30% off 2 hits.
firebottle is definitely the best assist. and if you use it during pressure you can setup some nice mixup. with vjoe i like firebottle> wavedash in and hi/lo with vjoes super fast overhead.
