Yonkers, NY Fighting Game Scene?

Who’s going to the tourney in Cross County today?

Is there a thread for that?

Idk…

I think i went to that tournament also, but i lost to some chick in the first round :-\

Haha, I remember seeing that girl over there. At least you didn’t lose to the 9 year old!

Where was this tourny at Cross County exactly? I’m close by, but I haven’t been to Cross County in a long time.

It’s a small new place called CLEAR. It’s new so you probably haven’t heard of it before.

I missed it… I heard the Grand Prize was an Xbox 360 too. -______________-

are you shitting me? that’s why there’s no thread…someone’s trying to keep it on the low lol

lol… I could’ve went in there with a Wolverine/Zero/Phoenix team and came out with a new 360… smh. I only missed it because it started at 10:00am. Who starts a tourney at 10 in the morning???

lmao i’m still asleep at 10am

There was no thread because it’s so unorganized lol, there’s only one bracket, no losers bracket. /: Theres supposed to be another mvc3 tournament this Friday at PnT. It’s supposed to start at 7pm but I’m gonna try to make them start earlier so we can have like casuals after.

Yea, me too. What’s the prize for that?

PnT yonkers on central? If so, is there an AE tourney too?

Probably just a $50 PnT gift card, the 360 was a one time thing lol.

It’s a MVC3 tournament, but if we get there early, we can play some AE. There’s supposedly an AE tournament sometime in August.

Damn…I hate that game

I actually saw that tournament poster for MvC3 the last time I went to Cross County but I didn’t even stop to red the information on it. And yeah, the place is super small. It’s one of those stores they have on the middle walking section. I don’t even know if it’s a full fledge gaming store or just a place where they sell small electronics.

Shit man, I’m seriously considering opening up my dream gaming store ala Next Level at Cross County. although, I seriously doubt I would be able to stay open until 2am like Next Level does. And the rent at CC must cost a ton aswell considering the renovation job they recently went through. And if I do go through with it,I’m sure I will have everyone’s support from this thread.

This sounds like an awesome idea. It doesn’t have to be exactly like Next Level though, you could make it a a cyber cafe so more people would be interested.

It’s been something I’ve been given so many thoughts about doing for years now. Being only 27, I’d figured i need to start taking it a bit more seriously if I wish to do it. But like I said, it’s just something that has been on my mind for years now cause even though I’m not into games as much as I was earlier in life, it’s still a hobby that I know will not go away just like that.

I’m going to start doing some research soon though so I’m sure this idea will potentially really go down.

If you get anything going, i’ll be more then glad to help!
