The timing to get it to come out right, even offline, seems very specific. I’ve also seemingly been hit out of the non-EX version, so I end up burning meter alot.
Anyone know what’s the deal with Jet’s EX JET Straight? It seems to behave exactely like the EX JET Ducking. But neither of them seem to behave like regular JET Ducking. What are these moves purposes?
I downloaded the demo. Why the hell does this game not have resolution settings? 480p is unacceptable in 2015. Will the game be update with proper resolutions later?
Because resolution options won’t help a game where the sprites and backgrounds aren’t HD, only way to make them sharper is buy a smaller monitor or make the screen size smaller. B)
Why are you even downloading a demo for a $15 game made from ex Capcom and SNK people? This game is a kickstarter, not some fully funded published game from a major game developer. You want better resolution, then support the game makers.
Its a great game, just finish playing for about 2 hours.
lol the game is native 800x600, much like the era of fighting games its homaging. Its literally impossible for it to HAVE resolution settings. Just set it for x2 Zoom* (or Full Screen) and be happy we have such a lovely looking fighting game that plays great.
*using the x2 Zoom scaling option fills the height of my 1080 pixel high monitor. Its basically perfect sized.
It’s because it alters the gameplay.
I dont get why they didnt put in resolution options and the embed the game screen into something like a fake arcade cabinet like they have in 3S:OE though, so the Steam overlay works and the menus arent all fucked up as well as overlays.
You can see with things like that that only a handful of people worked at the game and they got no money and time for anything except the core gameplay.
If a game provides a demo then why not? I’m not gonna buy sight unseen if I don’t have to. Don’t give me that kickstarter bullshit. I have own my share of kickstarter games and they contain something as basic as resolution settings. Even the ones that look like atari 2600 games. There is no excusing this.
That shit was fine 15 years ago. It’s unacceptable in 2015. I don’t see how it’s impossible when emulators could provide such revolution settings and picture ratios. I’ll deal with pixels if it means I can play on my monitor’s native resolution.
Even if the game gave a 1080p mode, it would just be its native 800x600 resolution blown up with black bars on the side to preserve its 4:3 screen ratio. What you want is IMPOSSIBLE.
And in 2015 people still play games like 3rd Strike, Garou, and KoF02. All games that are native 800x600.
Dude it’s not impossible. I can play 3rd Strike, Garou and OG KoF02 on Fightcade with the resolution and filter settings I want and those games are older. The Stream port of GGAC+R has borders and 4:3 ratio and still provide resolution settings. You saying it’s impossible for this game to provide the same thing?
no it wouldn’t. Fightcade provides revolution settings and doesn’t change the games at all. I have a few indie games that were developed entirely by one person and can provide basic shit like this.
Those aren’t resolution options in Fightcade (or any mame emulator), those are zoom options with maybe some kind of filter. Those games are still only 800x600, you’re just blowing them up. Just like the Yatagarasu launcher already provides.
Fightcade resolutions don’t change anything, the game still has the same amount of pixels it just stretches the screen and that’s all, Yata has the same thing, full screen(stretch it with your gpu settings if you want a horrid 16:9 stretched game) or keep it how it’s supposed to be at 4:3, and normal size and 2x windowed.
Not sure what you expect from a 2008 game made by 3 people then Kickstarted to add some stuff and a few chars, maybe if they had a team of 100 people and a ton of money they can redraw each sprite and level into 720p, not even SNK has the funds or time to do that anymore.
