yeah he was responding to me… it was appropriate
anyway thanks for the replies ya’ll… i’ve never played this before but it looks pretty sweet… looks almost like a garou: motw
How is it boring when that’s literally how every other fighting game that isn’t 3S does it? Do you just think every game that isn’t 3S is boring because everyone has the same meter with comparable meter usage? Maybe by making everyone have the same length of meter they force themselves to make supers that are balanced instead of making things that are just bullshit but slightly balanced out by their meter length.
Just saw the Yatagarasu segment on the Madcatz evo stream, I seriously hope they allow us to switch announcers, the male one sounds pretty terrible. Also I don’t like the new character select art (The ones from the IGG), they’re way too anime. The fireball effect was changed too.
Edit: Here’s the link to the Yatagarasu segment from the Madcatz stream: www.twitch.tv/madcatz/b/546571971?t=78m
There’s more before that point but it’s mostly stating the obvious if you’ve already played the game before.
so a small list of things they changed that i could find out for the evo build;
reduction now does a small splash of purple (similar to BL counter flash)
hanzo has an air command throw now
jyuzumaru now has a command throw that floats the opponent
black jyuzumaru is now gone in terms of having any differences from normal jyuzu afaik
kou’s fireball animation for A version has changed
I did not really test shimo, hanzo, jet, but hanzo appears to be the same outside of the air command throw. From what I could see little had changed with aforementioned characters but there wasn’t really anyone there that was able to do any of the grimy stuff in the first place. I kind of regret not practicing a little genei jet to see if they’d do anything to alter it.
I said this in the past and I’m gonna say it again, if I had known the game was going to take this long to come out. I would have just spent the extra $30 to be part of the beta. The beta was only supposed to have 1-2 months tops earlier access than us. But we have to wait a ridiculous amount of time because we can even get our hands on it, this blows
Just because it’s running at TRB until December doesn’t mean that the game will be in beta until then. The deal is for the game to be at TRB for these seasons regardless of the version and they’ll just update as the new builds (alpha/beta/release) come out. Unless any major fault or glitches are found in the alpha/beta builds, then the game shouldn’t take that long to hit retail.
frankly I don’t care how long they take, provided they are confident in their final release. If they push the game out due to people giving them shit about the release date and it winds up feeling unfinished I would be kind of choked to be perfectly honest. I can understand the opinion of those who want the game out sooner, but at the end of the day I just want a good game.
Honestly with a game with this, it is much more important than a big name game that it is released without any serious problems. Customers will not be forgiving if netcode is messed up, if there are a lot of bugs, etc. The game really needs to be ‘finished’ and thoroughly tested before it is released.
I was just wondering if the game is still on track. The release window was late Summer and there wasn’t much info coming out as the window drew near. Not hearing anything for a while was little concerning.
Well http://www.twitch.tv/hiya_dkr was streaming some of the alpha of AoC yesterday if that gives you any peace of mind. He showed a few things off with Azure (looks pretty gross), and some of the changes.
