Yang’s a solid character, but I find that any move that hits near full screen, safe on block, hit confirms into ultra (or ex lunge), and does good chip is a little bit beyond stupid. But, no reason to bitch 'bout it. That shit’s in the game; gotta learn how to deal with it. I know that some character have had luck punishing it on reaction with raw ultra, but that shit is Keno eye.
Keno eye indeed. But I feel like Yang has more untapped potential than Yun, which is great because Yang is already hella solid. So either way Yang is top hat tier.
Yun with meter and not jumping will likely throw it, so mash your dps or start Neutral-jumping.
I accidentally ex-teleported through once, was funny. Still, any time he throws EX-lunge, it is one meter away from "I hit confirm from everything’ Genei Jin. It is not a bad trade-of, even with Yun’s meter building.
And yeah, people not singling out Yang is nice. Either thye just go ‘THEM TWIIIINS’ Or ‘Yun’.
Less people whine to me when I play.
I agree wit you on this. Yang is finally going to get out of Yun’s Shadow.Cant Wait till tomorrow.
Yun has easier pressure because of a faster dk and he hurts so thats why he is regarded as the better character. with yang you have to go for a lot more mixups and resets. he doesn’t deal much damage without that.
I have a strong feeling (warning, theory gaming etc) that most Yang players will play conservatively, as compared to Yuns. When both players are forced into conservative play, they’re left with their essentials and blocking.
It might be worth it to just stay solid and fuck resets. But, I suck at SF, so what do I know? =p
Do you guys mind if i’d make a Yang psn/xbl session thread for this weekend? Right now its only goal is for everyone to learn Yang.
We don’t own the board; do as you want. xD;
ok it should be done in a few seconds.
Does yang actually have any decent AAs?
His probably has one of the most useful DP. It never trades ( Light senkyutai )
Stand HK / Stand MK.
match-up vs chun li feels like a 6-4 chun favor
Vega too.
what are yang’s basic anti-airs? i know the palm-strike works well, but what about normals?
also, what are some of his super juggles?
when should i use ultra 1/2?
i found that hit-confirming into rekkas does alot more damage then it does into roll kick. is there a situation when i should use roll kick in combos instead? i see some matches where they punish with instead, but i don’t see why if it does less. should i just stick with rekkas?
Rekkas always does more damage than roll kick. However, rekkas push an opponent back to a point where it resets the match to a neutral ground. If you use a MK roll kick, you sacrifice damage but get a better knockdown that allows you to continue pressure.
Roll kicks are better for setting up pressure. After an MK roll kick you can jump straight over for a nice crossup.
I ninja’d the hell out of you.
You can jump straight afterwards for a cross-up, or you can do a dive-kick to land in front.
Chun and Vega are free as fuck on wakeup. y’all be tripping if you think it’s 6-4 in their favour.
Almost everybody outpokes Yang, yet he obliterates most of the cast even so. Just because Chun and Vega are poking queens does not shift the match in their favour.
Does anyone have tips on just the execution of fierce rekka x 2 FADC U2? The wiki has it listed but I can get it to land, I’m assuming I need to buffer something somewhere, I just don’t know what.
