If you AA with cs.mk (assuming the opponent was right above you), you can simply dash up and U1. You’ll tag them before they hit the ground (if done in the corner, no need to dash. Just ultra right after).
Can EX Palm be comboed from cs. mp or anything else at all?
I don’t know if this has been asked yet, but is it possible to do different slashes in the middle of the combo? For instance, if I do lp slash, can I then finish with hp slashes? This is possible with Fei Long and it allows him to do things like punish Blanka rolls and such. Just wondering.
not sure if this has been mentioned here before but i heard yun’s divekick was somehow better than yang’s. Anyone know if there’s any truth to this?
That will probably be hard to tell until we can get a training mode.

Oh, while we’re talking about it, I was able to punish Honda Headbutt with EX slashes, I think it was even EX headbutt, but I can’t really remember. I didn’t try punishing with roll kick.
the one thing that I see EX slashes are good for is punishing certain moves that would be safe otherwise. for instance, I played an akuma and blocked sweep, punished with EX slashes.
From what I remember, akuma’s sweep is like -7/8 , so pretty much any move that’s around that is a good candidate to use EX slashes on.
honestly though, EX slashes do crap damage from what I can tell - why does everyone think they do so much? I’m talking about characters with at least average health, no 900 health characters like another twin or viper. Even in that case, the meter is best saved for fadc-ing or ex teleporting, in my opinion. Of course, if you’re going to kill someone to end the round, then I’d say burn it to just be sure.
also, fuck that ‘ex command grab is invincible shit’. It’s NOT, I’ve been hit out of it way too many times to even entertain that possibility. It might be grab invincible, though.
I plan on using all of Yang’s tools cause that’s what I did in 3rd Strike, and if they are near the corner going to use EX slashes and for a reset/mixup after that.

Have to agree with Rom honestly, it’s a garbage move outside of punishment. You REALLY want to reset someone in the corner? FADC the second slash then link to launcher -> dive kick -> s.mp xx Teleport 
EX Teleport has some invincible frames for sure, but not at the very very start. I’ve teleported straight through ticks and shoto low forward attempts several times.
Mixing up your resets would be better than doing the same one over and over again, especially if EX Slashes will not be used as often cause of people saying there are better ways to use meter, pretty sure your opponent won’t have a clue that they can be reset in the corner after it.
anyone tested yang’s life and health? [should be pretty easy to do so] and can say anything about it?

How’s the startup and recovery on seiei enbu? Can it be used to cancel the recovery of certain moves into ultra?
Gojira I would never waste a full bar of meter to do that especially since Yang has many ways to apply his ultras. Plus Seiei Enbu does great damage to pass up.
No offense, but I never asked if it was a good idea. I just want to know if it’s possible to land a full U2 by doing something like FP->super->ultra.
Well, since his super doesn’t speed up your attacks it must give you some sort of frame advantage if you cancel something.
I mean with it you can do MP Palm xx Super > cr.mk so it has to give you SOMETHING.
Not sure about ultra though.
Something that I’ve been wondering but haven’t tried out yet. Can you combo [cl.mp, cl.mk or cr.mk] from lp slash FADC (2nd hit)? If not, how about st.lp?
I think you can do 2 HP slashes, FADC into close MK… saw it in a Justin Wong vid IIRC.
Any tips for landing close MK, whiff dive, U1? Can’t seem to land that for the life of me…
You can do pretty much anything after HP Mantis x2 FADC. From videos it seems people try to do it at the lowest altitude that Yang can do his Divekick. I know LK Dive kick is used, maybe even MK.
