When thinking about Ryu’s Denjin I started thinking about why this also doesn’t apply for Yangs SA1. How is it that Yangs SA1 isn’t used at high levels of play but Ryu’s Denjin is used when they both are one bar and dangerous SA’s. SA1 is very easy to connect if set up right and can almost act like Yun’s Genei Jin where you may be more conserved when not having meter and turtle more but when you get a full stock you start to play more of a rush down game and the oponent now has to adjust their style to you and now be more hesitent in their movments. The only thing I can come up with is that the bar is long and thats a turn off.

k i’ll try to answer the question for you best as i can
1.long bar meaning your super isn’t gonna be a threat for awhile meaning they wanna rush you down before you get bar like playing against chun rush in and do whatever cause she has nothing scary to punish you with until she has bar
2.1 bar meaning no ex slashes for you which is a really big part of his offense even sa3 players use ex slashes cause they can do that and do another combo and have bar again
3.super is crazy easy to parry if you fuck up and time it wrong or mess up a combo i can parry it after the super flash
yes it does some nice damage but theres so many con’s that its not worth it on the other hand denjin has a fairly small bar is relatively safe its unblockable, if done right very hard to parry and leads to a free combo if landed into stun
about the slashes off palm or st.Forward…the correct order is Fierce Slash, Jab Slash, pause, Fierce Slash, Fierce Slash, Fierce Slash.

I was practicing the semi unblockable and I came up with a seiei enbu combo that may work may not (was trying it on the AI in arcade mode but it’s cheap and blocks everything.
The combo goes
knockdown, Activate SA3, [crossup d+hk,short x2 XX palm] (repeat brackets)
not sure if it’s the fact that I kept practicing the combo and the stun gauge increased but it may stun, not sure
then on the menu, scroll down to the 7th button down (??3??), once in there, go into Movie File Storeroom 4, then scroll to the bottom of storeroom 4 and click on movie #7 untitled.zip! :karate:
command grab, cr. MK, SA I or cr. MK SA I and use to punish pokes I believe. I don’t know if you can do it after cl. st. MP, SK link but you can try it.

I wastched a few vids on preppy’s site where kofiend was using sa1. Is this recommended against shoto’s? Or did he just know he was better than the other player?
