XvsSF thread

There’s literally a thousand different ‘variations’ of Storm/Magneto Air dash infinites, but it’s all basically the same bag. It’s just a level of combo-ability where it’s possible to loop things in many, many different ways. Granted, some of it isn’t easy, but still. It isn’t exactly new ground. Sorry guys. :wink:

Wow this thread is still going! Now I have a little question about Wolverine yet again.

I watched a match video, and it involves Prozac if I’m not wrong. I think Prozac picked Wolverine as one of his characters. I saaw a midscreen combo where he cancelled a C.Roundhouse into a super jump manually. I can do that combo, but I can’t continue the combo like how Prozac did it. Basically this is what I know as of this writing:

J.DN.Forward -> J.Roundhouse / D.S.Jab -> C.Short -> C.Strong -> C.Roundhouse XX Super Jump, SJ.Jab -> SJ.Short -> SJ.Strong -> SJ.DN.Forward -> SJ.Fierce (FS) -> SJ.Roundhouse (OTG) / J.Short -> J.Strong -> J.Forward -> J.Fierce -> J.Roundhouse (FS)

I remember Prozac can continue with another OTG. I think it’s a C.Short. But I cannot jump up right after the C.Short, thus ending the combo. In fact, a lot of times the C.Short cannot OTG at all.

Any tips here?

PS: This combo is weird. Assuming the combo can really be continued, how come it allows 2 OTGs in just one combo?

how can u link this combo for mag?
launch, sj.rh, ad df lk, mk ( wat can combo can i add?)

here easy zangif combo(SP?, maybe is posted but lazy to read all 11 page)
d+mp, sj.lp, d+KKK…repeat from the start

crap from shiro

wel well wle nice faq’s from prozac but whats a xvs therd with out omse chun-li crazy combo so here it is

Okay, this one requires a VERY picky set-up. Here we go. Get Chun Li
versus Ryu (or Ken or Akuma, if you prefer to beat them up instead). Put
Ryu all the way into the corner and Chun Li on the opposite side. Hit
all three Punches for Ryu to make him Dash Towards Chun Li. Back Chun Li
away so that Ryu doesn’t Dash into her. Make Ryu take half a step forward
(but only the SLIGHTEST of steps… just barely tap the controller
forward). Then, Place Chun Li somewhat near Ryu and do:

D.S.Jab -> S.Roundhouse /\ SJ.Jab -> SJ.Short -> SJ.DN.Forward, SJ.Jab ->
SJ.Short -> SJ.Strong -> SJ.Forward -> SJ.Fierce (FS) -> SJ.Roundhouse [2
hits… the first hit causes the Flying Screen but the second hit cancels
it out] / Throw, S.Short -> S.Roundhouse XX Hazan TenShouKyaku, C.Short
(OTG) -> S.Roundhouse /\ SJ.Jab, SJ.Jab -> SJ.Short /\ DJ.Jab -> DJ.Short
-> DJ.Fierce (FS) -> DJ.T.Roundhouse (FS), DJ.T.Roundhouse (FS) / J.Jab
-> J.Short -> J.Strong -> J.Fierce (FS) -> J.T.Roundhouse (FS) / J.Jab ->
J.Short -> J.Strong -> J.Fierce (FS) -> J.T.Roundhouse (FS) / [repeat
until death]
fs= fly screan :slight_smile:

Anyone would know how is this done?

http://home.coqui.net/evilaro/eidrian/mag_super.zip

It’s taken from Marvelicious 2 trailer, it’s a weird mag super that shows 4 shockwaves around him. :o

Any help or info on how to do this is greatly appreciated. :smiley:

its super sekrud edries

Ekiez: Sex Me With The Truth!

zax messed around with the rom from what i’ve heard, it was a super that was supposed to be in the game but didn’t make it in, but its still in the code somewhere… its just not unlocked or whatever

Is that so? I heard that Zax was there as editor, the combos were performed by Prozac i believe.

Zax ‘was’ the editor, but while he was at it, he messed with the code, created a false emulator cheat entry to assign that super(Which, like TK said, is in the code but never mapped to a command) to a command, and then did it, ect ect ect.

There were two versions of the M2 trailer, and the other version had a similar clip of a Dan MvsSF Kick Super(ala his QCB+Kick).

Zax = t3h h4xx0r. =o

Edit: Oh yeah, the wolv combo, I’ll explain that, I guess… Hold on…

Yes, there’s a rule that you can only OTG once in a combo. But that rule can be bent. The exceptions, are nOTGs(Near off the ground)… In order to OTG a second time, they basically have to ‘land’ on your OTG attack, so that it hits them as soon as possible… It seems like this works because it OTGs them before the OTG Rule has a chance to kick in. However, if you do an nOTG first in a combo, that doesn’t mean you can do a normal, slow OTG later on. It still counts as the one OTG the game will let you do.

So, the way the wolv combo is done, is to end it in the corner with his j.rounhouse, and then, after landing, stick out a c.short for them to land on. After the OTG, jump up with j.short, and hit them out of their ‘OTG Bounce’. From there, it’s easy enough to chain it back to j.roundhouse.

Yes, i’ve seen both versions, but i’m particularly interested in the XvSF cheat he used. What emulator was he using? He just messed with a cheat .dat file or is there more to do?

Could you please give me more details? My AIM is darkarjora.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, that’s about where my info ends. I’m ‘fairly’ sure he just messed with the cheat .dat, but it may have been more than that. You’d have to talk to him to get the specifics, though… He’s been AWOL as of late, so that might not be easy… But you can try his AIM @ jose1032, he’ll probably be on that if and when he shows up.

Thanks, i’ll ask him if i ever see him.

cool nice vid

Storm combo that I got from ozzy.
opp in corner, Lk Mk Sj.lk Dash back down lk, lp mp mk hk, air combo lp lk mk lightning drill forward then down, then continue with the drill infinite, Or you can reset by otging then grabbing.

s.forward is a great FSD tool for Storm. Incase people didn’t know.

Also, it’s a good setup for her s.fierce AD strings, things like s.fierce ( xx SJ, AD Towards, ad.jab -> ad.short(Float cancel & continuous float), sj.short, sj.short -> sj.forward / ) / ( xx SJ, AD Towards, ad.short -> ad.forward(Float cancel), sj.short -> sj.roundhouse(FS) / ) / ( xx SJ, sj.forward xx AD Towards, ad.jab -> ad.short -> ad.fierce(FS) -> ad.roundhouse / ), etc etc etc.

Ozy does a lot of pretty hard Vs Ground storm strings, and there are a few tricks to make them easier.

1.) c.strong is your friend. It has great range and stun, and all her MK/HP/HK moves are either strikes/knockdowns/launchers(I.E., none of them leave the opponent on the ground)

2.) sj./ad.short is your friend. It gives very little pushback, and comes out quickly, and can fill in the gaps via methods like c.strong xx SJ, sj.short xx AD Down/Towards, ad.short / c.short, etc etc.

3.) Air dashing Towards, as opposed to Down/Towards, is important to learn. Aside from mixing it up, it closes space a lot faster, and it’s pretty much neccessary to keep it going while midscreen. Float Cancel helps with this, so that you can add in Fierces and ad.forwards more easily.

how many verisons of XSF are their & how to tell which 1 u have?
