I’ve been doing a lot of side missions and stuff and some of this stuff is getting real racist and fucked up. I’m on this side mission with this guy who wanted me to bring some Manon to him for a ‘seminar’ to teach them about the way how humans and their society work right? The moment I get to this outta the place way he’s holding this seminar stuff goes dark really fast. Like ‘WHOA WHOA WHOA…WHAT ARE YOU DOING DUDE!?’ type situation.
I couldn’t touch this Tyrant with a Lv50 Skell and two Lv30 ones. Came back on foot, activated Overdrive, and bodied the shit out of it. Longsword/Dual Guns/Overdrive is some powerful shit, and my build is nowhere near done.
Damage potential on foot is higher than in skells. It just harder to survive on foot, skells can take a beating.
On foot you either need ghostwalker or actually be wearing armor drops from lvl 70+ tyrants with some resistances and some hp to deal with the damage output they have.
Best run so far has still left me dealing around 5% to that fuckin’ thing before I blow sky high, and fighting it on ground isn’t possible. I’d grind levels… but I don’t really see the point considering that it’s a skell fight exclusive (well, maybe someone can do ground, but I think you’d have to be all tricked out and way overlevelled to deal with it). Whole group’s outfitted with skells now, so I’m not sure what I’m doin’ wrong.
I really wish if you party wipe in a fight, they wouldn’t make you have to run back and fix your skells each time. Kinda make the whole “respawn nearby” thing pointless once you have 'em. :bluu:
One thing is make sure your party is pulling it’s weight.
First time I tried that fight I got in my skell and got bodied only to look back and see my party just chilling on foot doing fuck all next to their skells.
Other than that make sure your right shoulder weapon and back weapon are both as strong as possible, ground gear with drive skills can be handy too but you shouldn’t need it for this.
Take out those disks on the sides first. Target lock them and hold R plus up on the d-pad to make your party lock on. I got rekt a couple times on that fight too.
Yeah, just did that to get me to the second part of the fight, but my team was battered to hell and back at that point and Couldn’t close it out in time. Hopin’ I am still at the second part when I try again with a healthy team. If it makes me start back at the first half again… :wasted:
EDIT: Wait a minute… do AI members using skells use up insurance claims when they inevitably fuck up and lose their skells? 'cause I just wiped and the only one that lost a claim was me.
I reaaallllyy wanna start this game. But not until I at least finish Bayonetta 2. I’ve been lurking here for awhile and watching gameplay videos, and the amount of content is just going to suck the life out of me.
You already know I’m using Ghostwalker lol. Love the animation, btw. The thing took half my life in the opening, then couldn’t touch me at all. The rest of my team is getting rocked left and right and getting their Skells destroyed while I just casually walk to the left, dodging everything like:
That Art is seriously broken. Hope they leave it that way, though… .
Nope. They don’t use Insurance unless there isn’t any left to spare. You save your own Insurance the same way by getting the perfect Soul Voice after your Skell gets destroyed. If Insurance is at 0, though, you gotta pay no matter what.
