Sure it does. Works right now and it worked when I checked it yesterday. :wonder:
I went ahead and got one of these, I’ll run it through InputLagTestor (sic) with a Madcatz pad and a Hori EX2 (because I don’t have an actual PS3 + VF5 to test with) when it comes in.
Use a program like JoyToKey or ControlMK to map one of your controller buttons to a keyboard button (spacebar). Run InputLagTestor, press that button on the controller to start the test, and then press the button each time the red bar overlaps the gray one.
You probably want to do the test a couple times and ignore the results on the side while you are doing the test… bad timing can give you bad results. (say for example, you figure out the amount of time inbetween button presses and just press the button rhythmically, that’s going to give you inaccurate results)
I actually haven’t been able to run it through InputLagTestor, because interestingly enough, it doesn’t work with PC Which I suppose makes sense, since you could just plug the 360 controller directly into a computer anyway…
I’ll have to test it tonight at my friend’s place on his PS3, since I don’t have one myself.
Ah, got it working now. Had to install some japanese drivers for Vista, even though I’m on XP :looney: Controller shows up as “5 axis 12 button joystick with hat switch”. The analog triggers are converted to digital (they have to be held about 1/3rd of the way to register a button press, so good for FPS games), and the guide button doesn’t seem to do anything in XP.
I used a freshly bought GameStop 360 wired controller. InputLagTestor shows the standard 16ms of input lag  Rapid fire looks solid, though I’m judging this based off XP’s game controller manager and not through VF5 like MarkMan does.
I’ll borrow my friend’s Hori EX2 later and take the converter for a session of PF HDR/ST HDR to see if it craps out during play like the XFPS does when pressing too many buttons at once :arazz:
thats strange … like cowboyk said many people claimed it would lag with sticks … but i think most of them uses hacked madcatz pcb so if it works fine with the pad but if you hack it with a stick and buttons it lags really strange … i dont understand it
im too waiting for your test with the ex2 … maybe then we get an answer … please test it with the InputLagTestor too
No you’re right, I realized it’s just my laptop. I tried it again yesterday on my desktop and it works fine. Doesn’t work on my laptop though, wtf.
EDIT: I don’t know what amount of MS is desirable/target MS for input lag, but from previous posts it seems like 16MS is the desired amount??? I just used the program with an old radioshack converter I have and my test came up with 16MS input lag, so I assume that’s groovy.
standart usb ports most have 16ms input lag … mine too … if your stick with converter will have more then 2ms lag than your usb port without converter its considered to be laggy … like 18,1ms+ if your keyboard have 16ms
