Just to clarify, my brother’s helping me out on this and we’re examining the diagrams and he’s asking me if we are just doing this as an Xbox One only stick: Do we need to worry about the VCC or is it just the buttons, d-Pad and ground that we need. Bit confused over this. Any help greatly appreciated, thread is awesome as is but just want to double check before we take the plunge.

If its only going to an XBO stick, just solder to the dpad, button, trigger contacts and one ground( will need 10k ohm resistors for the triggers) . Then just hook up the micro usb cable, you don’t need to worry about the vcc or data lines.

100 ohm resisters for the triggers. If you’re removing the analog sticks that’s where you need 10k resistors.

I did not remove the analog sticks don’t know what’s the reason behind it. Just make sure they are centered and put some hot glue on them to stop them from moving around.

Also another note: The Torx used seems to vary as I used a T9 and T6 while others used a T10 and T6. This shouldn’t be a problem as long as you have a set or security torx for the screws holding the casing together.

Concerning the triggers, is there a way to use an Xacto knife to a trace? Or is there a better/different way to hook them up? I wired it with a 100 ohm resistor and nothing happened when I tested the button.

This is the pinout I have so far for the pin connectors. I prob wont have access to a xbox one for a while so I won’t be able to test out if the main pcb can still function without the second pcb.

Is this diagram set up as if I am looking down it? Just want to make sure Im wiring to the correct pin. I burned my B, X and Y contact so this is my last hope. Thanks and happy turkey day.

As far as I can tell those are all the signals available from the molex points. Triggers and the ‘B’ button can only be hacked from where previously mentioned.

Update: I hadn’t had my home button wired when I finished my stick because i didn’t have flux for the trace. Got flux today and finished it. Weird thing is, The Xbox One PCB is functioning as a wireless controller WHILE its plugged into the xbox 360 or any power source. Home button activates both home buttons and affects the xbox one while I play my xbox 360. Is this happening for anyone else?

Yep. you have to make a different home button (IE turbo) or find a way to disable the wireless on the x1 pad.

Thats what Im gonna do since the other inputs don’t seem to do anything. I have an unused turbo button on my q4 so it works out. edit : Wired to turbo button works fine and can turn off the xbox one pcb by holding the Turbo(home) button.

Hey guys, my RT is not triggering with a 10kohm resistor, but my LT works fine. Direct connect works on RT, but will obviously pull too much current without a resistor. Any ideas?

I didn’t hook up the triggers but yet I’m getting them being held down. It’s not a dual mod stick. Is there a way to manually get these things to turn off?
