Cut of the connector of your xbox one headset and connect it to the headset jack on the fightstick. From there use a wired x360 headset for sound and speech.
Or solder a 3.5 mm plug to your cut xbox one headset.
you basically want a resistor on the wire coming out of each (so 2 resistors). Iād recommend soldering wire to TP other end to 1 leg of resistor, another wire to the other leg then that wire goes to where its supposed to. You could connect one leg directly to TP but those legs are rigid. Either way works though.
To be honest, Iām not sure. I used 1/4 but I donāt know if thats whats recommended (thats just what I had on hand at the time)
Basically part is correct
just solder the wire to the existing solder (you may have to heat it slightly more than usual to get it to melt). No point in making more work
Note though, VCC is not a solder point, its the right side of a capacitor. I found that tinning the wire so it has a mini bump of solder on one side then apply a tiny tiny amount of flux to the right side of the capacitor (the silver part), hold the solder lump of the wire against the fluxed side of the capacitor then apply heat. The flux should pull the solder lump off the wire and onto the capacitor (this only takes a moment)
the capacitor is the lil box with the blacks stripe in the middle correct? so the wire is attached to the ride sode of it on the silver looking area ?
anyone have pictures of the back of the pads soldered??
heres my progress so farā¦ im pretty new at soldering so taking my time and practicing on other old boardsā¦
any tips on getting the solder onto the board as easy as possible without it sticking to the soldering iron tip?
so i bought most of my materials but im still not sure if i should dual mod my current 360 TE or just try and make it an xbox one stick only? For some reason I feel like Iād run into more trouble trying to make it an xbox one stick.
A lot easier to just make it a dedicated stick for the time being. There will certainly be more pcbs or specialty products to make dual modding easier in the future.
Is there anyone here who would let me send them a xbox one pad and my arcade stick and have them do this mod for me? I would send it to you then pay pal you the money for doing the work and money for the price to ship it back to me. Send me a msg if you would be interested doing this for me and how much you would want for your labor. Thanks!
Usually 26 or 28 guage, sometimes even 24ga if they are out of the other 2 in a color I want.
I absolutely hate radioshack wire and do not recommend it to anyone.
They have this cheap 22ga wire and the insulation is unnecessarily strong so alot of newcomers easily rip of contact points because of it.
Please keep in mind those who are using hot glue after soldering to the PCB. You donāt want to put hot glue on top of the solder point, you want to put it on the wire to prevent it from lifting up. If you put it on the solder point and then lift the wire you still have a chance of lifting the pad/trace/etc. If the wire is glued down thereās no way for it to lift up.
well everything was going greatā¦ finished all the solder points pretty nicely but when putting both pcbs back together one of the connections came loseā¦ and tried to fix it
and this happen to my X button ā¦
Hey guys, dedicated to go ahead and tie an xone pad to my existing mc/360 sick via the 2 cable method. Soldering went fine and my initial test with the xone pcb worked flawlessly. However, once I moved everything into place to be able to close the stick Iām now getting random button inputs. Iām guessing something went weird with the vcc when moving it, however I thought Iād post pics just to have more eyes on it before I tear into it again.
