If you’ve got Amazon Prime + 2 days worth of patience, ordering your points from Amazon can save you some cash.
I bought Castlevania HD last night. Here’s what’s wrong with it:
- One person leaving your lobby causes the entire room to drop.
- “Forming a team” can cause people to drop, causing others to drop as well.
– After forming a team, if people have dropped, no others can join. - You can’t pause in Singleplayer.
- Searching for via quick match causes the occasional freezing.
- Searching via Unlimited is really time consuming as it has to find games, display them, and then you have to choose one to join. Unsurprisingly, by that time, “unable to join game”.
- There is no level balancing. I had someone do 80 damage per hit when I first played–Chapter 1.
I’m not too thrilled about how I had to buy 1000 and 500 points, because I only had 70 points in my account and was stuck at 1170. Wouldn’t have happened if the game were 800 points, which is a more realistic price for a cookie cutter XBLA release like this.
The lobby process is really painful. You have to create a game, wait for people to join, “form a team” for some reason, then hope like hell nobody drops. If people drop, others will leave. Then you have to select a character/chapter, and hit Ready. You can’t go until the rest of the players are also Ready. If all goes well, the game throws up that obnoxious loading screen, but after that, it’s actually quite fun.
Just got rid of that game. Too glitchy. My last savepoint would just freeze. I would have had to use a save file 10 hours back in order to play. Fuck that shit.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will not have online co-op until Sept. 28 | Joystiq
Really odd that they’d announce this less than 2 weeks away from its release, considering it’s one of the major Summer of Arcade titles. I’m sure a lot of folks aren’t going to be pleased with it. I’m still getting it on XBLA, and if it turns out to be really good, will double-dip when it comes to PSN more than a month later.
Where can I find KOF 2002UM? Ive just scrolled through the entire game library and I dont see it.
It’s not out yet, like Scott Pilgrim & Shank. But they are definitely titles to be on the lookout for.
Kinect will be able to detect Sign Language. Crazy stuff.

Luc: I await you triumphant return! I’m still on XBL all the time brah. Miss playing with you.
*Your. God damn iPhone.
Shit yeah man, just waiting for my credit card to get to me, then its on. It’s like the highlight of my life right now
I got my Kinect pre-ordered. Anybody else?
I’m tired of people telling me it is going to fail. Heard the same shit when the Wii was getting hyped
Lightgun games…make it happen Namco, Sega, Capcom, etc & we’ll talk.
As long as it just tracks one’s hand to control the crosshair, it’d be dope if you could use a Zapper/Guncon/watergun/whatever. Just pointing at the screen with your hand (pew pew!) wouldn’t have the same appeal.
Pretty much, a Time Crisis would be perfect for Kinect. We could dodge literally and wireless gun would be the ish!
I’m honestly waiting on that Eden game for Kinect. If that’s the ish, then I’ll get a kinect.
The only thing I’ve seen kinect-wise that had me thinking “whoa that’s awesome” is that game where you pet animals. I don’t know why but I find that really amusing.
So how about Chime? If you’re a fan of Lumines get this. Five unique puzzles and constantly changing music. Yum.
Star Wars, some of the sports games (I wanna kick a soccer ball without having to leave my house), and oddly enough Dance Central (I’m a white guy, I’ll take any help I can get in learning to dance), all make me salivate.
And I as odd as it is, I would like to see some peripherals (Guns with Sniper Scope mod, steering wheel, etc). I dunno if I would need them or not, but I hear a lot of people that say they would need them.
Chime is awesome and a great time waster. A big portion of the proceeds go to charity also so I would recommend people at least check out the demo.
It should be on the list of recommended XBLA titles.

I was sold on this game when I heard platinum was making it. I love the agility your character has which isn’t very common in most shooters.
