XBOX 360 Thread. First page FAQ coming on the 1st of never

Just finally got my copy of DeathSmiles today (got the CE, so that’s my first faceplate :D)
Look forward to running it hard over the weekend, alongside BlazBlue, and will try to sneak in some Trinity Universe as well, though that’s for my pstriple.

the first boss is a giant cow? tha fock

You can actually choose the stage order, but yes a few of the bosses are totally ridiculous lol

hahah Mary’s awesome.
That game is a blast. MBL lvl 999 is ridiculous and wayyy too fun.

Rosa is Top Tier in Deathsmiles. I think casper is kinda harder to use but she can be a beast on bosses. Same with Folett. The other chick is “eh”.

What up, peeps. Just got the new Xbox. Mind if I add you guys? My s/n is RyusukeSRK. Oh and how can I activate the warranty? Dont want any red rings.

Login to Xbox.com, head down to Support > Registration and Repair. All details you need should be on the back of your console to get it registered.

Far as I’m aware though you don’t have to activate the warranty. Typically the consoles have a MFR date on and you have 1 year standard, 3 years extended (for RROD and e74) from that date.

What’s a good way to explain this?

kane and lynch demo was pretty damn cool

Stage 6-3 on Lost Planet 2 is a nice spot to farm some career points, and it’s pretty easy to do solo. Normal will get me about 20,000 (*with “Superstar” ability) or a shave over that…Hard mode seems to be worth about 24,000+. I’m sure one could get more since I keep getting a “C” grade on that 1st part of the stage where you’re in a mech that’s falling to the planet. My Snow Pirate Elite character just hit level 80 a little while ago. The character customization really opens up at that point. (level 80 on any faction allows you to use all customization parts you’ve unlocked from the other factions…so I could have a NEVEC helmet for my Snow Pirate with a Fight Junkies backpack, and Rounders’ faction pants.)

Heh, yeah that’s the stage I’d farm on to get the Wayne Rounders gear. Love that epic music while you’re entering EDN3’s atmosphere. I’ve done the level so many times it’s do-able enough even on Extreme difficulty w/ Gun-Sword SP; just melee the fuck out of everything. I even drew myself a crude map of all 7 data posts (have not had to do shit like that since like, pre-Internet SNES days ) so I could further increase my credits.

Finally stopped being and lazy and played some pretty old games.

Beat Assassin’s Creed. It was fun but as everyone said, gets extremely repetitive. Some of the achievements are just stupid. Like the collecting the flags ones.

Just started playing Bioshock tonight. Played for a good 4 hours and all I can say is…WOW. It’s a lot of fun and the system is really unique. Loving the different kinds of upgrades you can get.

I finished Mass Effect 2. So which of the DLC should I blow my points on first?

I waaay too far behind in LP2. I’m still using the old 2k slot machine

I’ll try out the 6-3 farming though, could use the extra credits.

LP2—oh yeah, the end of the blizzard section can be a bit rough since you can’t really see that far ahead of you, and there’s 2 of the giant akrid creatures + a “rolly” or 2 ganging up on ya. Sometimes I just run past that bullshit since the “end zone” of that mission area is right there. I know that probably decreases your score but it’s hard as hell to fight those things with near-0 visibility. Plus, the night-vision is no help…as usual.

I got the 100-chapter playback achievement tonight. Man, the achievements in this game will take a long ass time…there’s achievements for hitting the 200-chapter and 300-chapter milestones as well…then there’s the achievements for leveling all factions up to 99, getting all “noms” which I hear might be close to impossible (*one is nom/title for “Number 1!” for being Number 1 on a certain leaderboard…but I could’ve sworn I already got this by random luck in the slot machine. Strange thing is that I looked for it in my list of unlocked titles earlier tonight and it’s not there…but I am 100% sure I got it from the slot machine in my first few days of playing this game.)

Stage 2-1 is an ok spot as well, but you only get somewhere in the range of 11,000 to 14,000something there…but it probably takes less time than 6-3.

You absolutely can not get the Number 1 nom from slots, same goes for all the “achievement” noms as those don’t count toward the “unlocked everything” message or whatever it was.

So it’s true that NBA Jam is coming to 360/PS3…however their is a catch…

NBA Jam Will Be Bundled With NBA Elite 11 - PlayStation 3 News at IGN

So in order to have NBA Jam you have buy NBA Elite and then you get an HD but gimped version of the game. I think I’ll probably just stick with the Wii version personally…

But I wanted 2k11…

EA

It’s not a bad move on EA’s part giving you that incentive to buy their game over 2K11’s. I mean seriously…they’re trying to fight off Michael Jordan this year lol.
