Where’s my Hydro Thunder

You promised me there would be Hydro Thunder

I play Perfect Dark Zero online mulitplayer. I know that the game is ancient, and the storyline is baaaad, but its fun to play against everyone online. MW2 is decent, but I just like this game for some reason.

Has anyone played Clash of the Titans?

It got horrible reviews but I like hack n slash type games, that combined with Greek mythology is pretty good. It says its got a bunch of customizable weapons which sounds cool. I just don’t know why it got such horrible reviews.

I passed up one mediocre hack and slash (Clash of the Titans) for another mediocre hack and slash (N3II: Ninety Nine Nights). Since I am sick in the head for hack and slash, I am enjoying the latter quite a bit.

The only thing I’m worried about in that new Castlevania is how hard the bosses are gonna be (hopefully they bring back Goliath), whether the characters will have their own abilities (Soma and his souls; Shanoa and her glyphs), and how many castle maps they’re going to have. Only seen 2 maps so far.

Either way, game has a lot of DLC potential.

I’ve mentioned it before, but for some reason, I really cannot get interested in the new Castlevania.
I am not at all interested in playing a 'vania game with other people. It’s not that type of game to me, and I’m having a hard time grasping where the fun-factor is behind zerg-rushing the castles.

I’m going to get it anyway and definitely give it a try (and hopefully find out that my worries were baseless), but… I’d much rather a new SP Castlevania title. Something along the lines of Bloodlines meets SOTN would have me salivating.

Nope thats a different game.

cheh,

I was just reminiscing about some of the most difficult achievements on another forum. Remember “Leonidas” on BlazBlue:

You have to beat Score Attack for this 40-point achievement. The funny thing here is that this mode is probably the most difficult mode I’ve ever seen in a fighting game, at least besides games where the cpu characters actually “cheat”(e.g.-- your average Mortal Kombat. Characters that are NOT SubZero or Reptile somehow gain the ability to SLIDE over to you…or Jade going on a controller-reading power-trip. Yeah, totally fair, right?). Just making it to Unlimited Ragna is a hellish task, and that character is so absurdly godlike powerful…he can destroy your character easily in about 4 or 5 seconds. Haha, that’s not even an exaggeration. If you lose a match to any character in this mode, that’s Game Over. There is no “Continue?”, and you’ll have to start over on the first match.

Fortunately, this was possible to beat for only 2 reasons…the 2nd controller and Tager. Second controller is a roundabout way of continuing (*hit “start” to bring in player 2, which interrupts a match you were going to lose.) Tager seems to be the only character that can legitimately, easily beat Unlimited Ragna. Some people also advise to use Jin, so maybe that’s 2 characters at the most out of the whole cast that can beat this guy. Fight him as anyone else and you will just get destroyed each and every time.

ah yes…funny how this seems like such a long time ago, and the game only came out last year.

I also never finished getting the achievements in Earth Defense Force 2017. Inferno mode is absolutely insane.

*In other news… I want Limbo, but I may wait 'til it becomes “Deal of the Week”. Maybe the trial will change my mind, but it’s just not jumping out at me as a 1200-point game right now. If it were 800 points, I would most likely have already done an impulse-buy right away.

Borderlands General Knoxx is 400 this week! Good thing I haven’t bought that one yet…perfect timing here…

Few hours long and no replay. Wait for a sale.

Toughest achievements imo would be that nonsense for FFXI./.

I got back my copy of borderlands just in time to get the deal of the week on the DLC. at last I can complete that “BRAAAAAAAAAAAINS” achievement and begin the next DLC.

As far as this summer of arcade goes. It pales in comparison to last years. Limbo from what I’ve played in the trial is fun, but like previously mentioned, I’m not giving someone 15 dollars for a game that still feels like a 5 dollar indie title. And the multiplayer Castlevania looks like a Mugen game.

Yeah, it was a big step down from last year’s MvC2 and Shadow Complex. Ah well.

Hydro Thunder Hurricane…seriously, you guys are missing out…

Don’t forget 'Splosion Man…was a good summer last year.

Putting Dr. B in a Mugen game immediately makes it a modern Capcom gaming classic.

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair Level 3 Reveal - Xbox 360 Preview at IGN

This new castle map looks nice.

Orly? Because we had a HUGE dud last year in the form of TMNT.

Yeah seriously. It’s great. At least play the demo guys. It’s fun. Period. Not to mention I get the feeling that they might do DLC in the future. I want more tracks.

To me, 'Splosion Man was the best. Shadow Complex had great graphics and gameplay but without any meaty bosses it felt more like an adventure game with action elements instead of being more like Metroid or a Castleroid.

Now to sort of ‘defend’ Limbo here. Really it reminds me more of Portal in the sense that it’s not a long game but it’s a very fun game and a very well done game. It should have been 800 points but I fear that Microsoft just wasn’t having it. To me, it’s better than Braid (I hate Braid).

And Castlevania has been getting glowing previews lately, not to mention Monday Night combat looks sweet too. Heck even Tomb Raider looks interesting.

All m arcade games except sonic3 are only available when I’m signed in online, offline only the trial versions are available what am I doing wrong?

Did you transfer your license over on Xbox.com?

Downloaded Hydro Thunder last night, its alot of fun. Im also cracking out on Pacman C.E. and Deathsmiles <3. Plus i just got Marvel AU so i need buddies for that.
