Dead Space 2 - Debut Trailer
Yep, that was the other thing I was thinking. Why sign with Activision at a time like this, but oh well.
Also, I am hyped as hell for Dead Space 2. That trailer was perfect. I watched it this morning before coming in to work and it seriously made my day start off right lol.
My friend bought Agarest, gonna try it out this weekend
Don’t need to worry about Bungie signing with Activision since in the contract Bungie owns this new IP and has complete control over it. Activision is just publishing. There won’t be another IW-style fallout over the brand.
I think you will see alot of “I bought it, but haven’t played it yet cause of SSF4” messages, as thats where I stand with Agarest. It has the best packaging and bonuses of a LE ever, but you probably already know that.
Nier looks odd and I’m interested in it, but I’ll probably wait for a pricedrop on it. I heard they altered the game for the US (ie putting pants on one character and stuff like that)?
this was 9months in the making.
Thanks for the replies guys. I ordered both Nier and Record of Agarest War from ebgames.com with a sweet discount code.

It’s amazing how much the custom soundtrack thing and the DLC have dramatically improved Borderlands for me. I just got to level 41 yesterday thanks to the huge experience points you can get in “playthrough 2”. That cave with the big purple …whatever monsters… that cave is a level-up bonanza. I finally got the “Revenge”(you deal increased damage after killing something) power for Brick, so he just continues to get more and more unstoppable and godly.(“Revenge” might be the best power on the “blaster” side of his skills/abilities tree) The dude also gets even more powerful if the shield is broken. Brick is too cool for those other chumps…he really needs to star in his own game.
*On a completely unrelated note…it would be great if they put some hand-to-hand fighting in for Fable 3, but of course I doubt that will happen. I’m already setting my expectations for that game at a very low level.
B-lands is definitely brick the game
Anyone play Record of Agarest War?
Sealed copy of VF5 Online @ Best Buy for $20. Should I pick it up?
I dont think so…i remember reading somewhere that a new VF game is coming stateside soon.
Sega should quit dicking around and just make 6.
I like it. It has some issues with aesthetics like the kinda slow battle flow between phases, generally bad music, and horrible dungeons, but if you have played any other OTAKU GAEMS before, it’s nothing you won’t be able to look past. Aside from that stuff the battle system itself is fun and strategic, and the first generation main character is freakin awesome(dude always keeps it real)
Yeah I read that. Joystiq mentioned GBA sprites in the game. Uhhh. Yeah but you can zoom really far out (like to see the whole castle’s map and I guess then, other players). I’d really like to see how Konami is going to handle this. How IGA is going to handle this. I think that 2D co-op game works better with a traditional level structure as opposed to an open world. A metroidvania with friends just sounds fun in theory but I don’t think it’s gonna really work in practice. I’d much rather have a Castlevania that takes an hour or two hours to be on one run with a fuck ton of branching paths and branching levels and choke full of secrets. So when you hop on Live you can message your friend and be like, “Yo, you wanna do a Castlevania run right quick?” And he’ll reply, “No doubt. I got an hour and some change to kill. I need to find that frog cave anyway.” And you’ll reply, “Bet.” But we’ll see.

Monday Night Combat!**
Just watched the trailer for the tower defense/attack-the-base hybrid gameplay mode. The game itself looks like equal parts TF2, Unreal Tournament 2k4/Unreal Championship 2, and (wait for it) Ratchet and Clank. Btw, I LOVE all those games I just mentioned (though I don’t play TF2 anymore because my PC is getting old and chuggy). So this looks mighty interesting and is certainly the XBLA shooter I am most interested in.

Just got a box for some marathon SSF4 sessions, and i’m finding it’s getting enormously hot. I don’t want to stand it on its side, because last time I did that with a friends box, the console ripped up the game. (and i didn’t even touch the console!)
Should I have a fan blowing into the box? Or blowing the hot air away from the back of the box?
You shouldn’t change the system’s orientation while powered on, that results on disc scratching…but you are good to have the 360 vertically if you’d like to, just never change position with the system on.
Install the game. That will help immensely.
