anyone else play metro 2033? it seems to be getting mixed reviews with either mediocre or great scores. sort of strange imo. but the mediocre reviews dont really make sense so that is why im asking what other people think.

I tried swapping the 360 and PS3 cables; no effect.
I tried all of the HDMI Color Space and Reference Level settings. No dice.
My TV is set to its Game mode for both the 360 and PS3 with identical settings.
Dr. B is always blurry because he moves in-between the moments of time.
Your TV may require independent adjustments for each system. I have a top of the line samsung LED TV and I have seperate adjustments for my PS3 and 360.
My 3rd 360 just died. I’m beyond pissed.
It isn’t even the RROD. The fucking video just decided to stop working totally. Now I have to shell out $100 to get it repaired. What the fuck…
I really like the way perfect dark runs now, it is still a fun game, I tried the demo and will probably buy the full game later. The autoaim is ridiculous and I was playing at a friend’s house and we all turned it off. I turn autoaim off anyway, most of the time I don’t notice much of a difference, but in that game, I walked into a room and the aim jumped to my buddy who was 100+ feet away and ON THE SECOND FLOOR. That’s pretty ridiculous.
Yeah, it makes the aim toggle pointless. But I’m impressed with what Rare was able to do so many years ago.
Good call.
You don’t happen to know off the top of your head how the settings differ, do you? Just in general, as a guideline for me to work with. I’d be grateful for the rest of the day.
Dr. B’s iPod shoots other iPods that shoot CDs that shoot cassette tapes that shoot LPs that shoot 8-tracks that shoot sheet music.
Not sure why I never thought about asking this in this thread, but here goes…
Currently, my 360 is set up like this:
Video - HDMI
Audio - RCA through the amp and speaker system
My only issue is that the 360 will share the audio to both the TV through HDMI and the speaker system (note: it does not split the audio as in the volume is split evenly). The result is an unusually loud “center speaker” since both the TV and speaker system are projecting sound. The PS3 has an option where you can set the console’s audio to HDMI, RCA, component, etc, making this problem a non-issue. Unfortunately, the 360 doesn’t seem to have this feature.
Is there any way to fix this? If not, it’s not a big deal; all I have to do is turn down the volume of my TV down all the way to zero, but it’s still a minor annoyance.
Mass Effect 2 for 39.99 at best buy with free shipping. Get on this if you haven’t already.

$26.54 with free shipping- looks like a pretty good deal on a wireless controller for 360.
edit: Oh, and here’s another decent deal for an Elite 360, Halo ODST, Forza 3, and a $50 gift card to Best Buy - $300. Very good value, IMO.
I can’t remember the name of the person looking for info about purchasing a 360 over the past few days, but…if you get this bundle, spend the gift card on a game you want (or a controller or something), and sell the other two games, you basically end up with a $200 Elite.
What’s a good way of actually getting the RROD? I really don’t feel like shelling $100 out for repair, and I know I still have a year left as far as free replacements due to RROD.
How can I killed this thing? Leave it on for days?
So L4D2/L4D1’s expansion is coming soon. That’s right. Valve is making one for both, prolly to streamline the story between the two.
The premise of the DLC
[details=Spoiler] One member from the original L4D1 will die.
In L4D1, you’ll be able to pick who dies(which prolly means we’ll have to decide who croaks online between ourselves, that’ll be fun:bgrin:)
BUT IN L4D2, Valve will have the death that is canon. And there is talk that since Bill’s voice actor didn’t return in L4D1’S crash Course with new audio, they’ll kill him off. Oh and Ellis will have a crush on Zoey, Nick and Francis will be going at each other.[/details]
Late March is the date…which very soon.
from Major Nelson’s site:
No excuse for a shootemup fan to NOT have Geo Wars 2 in your arcade library at this point. Come on, 400 points!
I’m pretty sure you can tell the 360 just to do video through HDMI, not sure. You also may be able to turn off sound from your TV. My TV has speakers built into it but I have them turned off in the TV’s service menu.

Damn I love Amazon. Got a used (pretty much new) Ninja Gaiden Black from warehouse deals w/ two-day shipping (from my 3 month prime trial) for $11. It’s like someone only opened the game box then returned it.
Can you give an example? I happen to be playing ME as well so I might be able to help.
Some planets are cosmetic. They may have information about the planet itself but you can’t land there. If you believe that you need to land on this planet for some reason you are confusing that planet with another one or something. Either that or it’s a bug, but I seriously doubt it.
If you like to blow shit up, you should try just cause 2. Story is complete shit, but who needs a story to blow shit up
