I just gave my friends on im who don’t have a xbox the link, and they pasted me the code.
Does it make me weird for calling the Xbox 360 just Xbox. I figure what’s the difference. Who plays Xbox anymore. When I say Xbox I figure people know I’m talking about the Xbox 360.
Thanks Sonichuman, I think it was him a while back, for hooking it up with the link to the free copy of Red Faction with my Darksiders copy. Question though: I ordered it like over a month ago and still haven’t received it. Did it take that long for anyone else?
I had mixed feelings about bayonetta. Yeah it was a good game, but it made me wonder if games were getting 1) better or 2) too easy.
What I mean by that is…any games difficulty is related to it’s save functions. (Which is why save states on emulators are so godlike for cheezing through old games.) Same with Quick Saves in FPS games as well. Any rate, the thing about Bayonetta is, you never really have to struggle to adapt or figure anything out. You just have to mash your way to the next save point/checkpoint and then you get a fresh HP bar. I didn’t even USE the items you picked up, let alone the item creation system. I only even bought the bracers and skills out of pure boredom.
Once you get the “I get hit so I go in bullet time”, “I get hit so I turn into crows and dont take damage” and the “taunt for free heals” the game might as well be over to me. I could play some of the harder difficulties, but it would basically just be prolonged mashing to me, which is already repetitive enough.
I enjoyed the enormous scale and amazing graphics (especially her finishing type moves) as well as the camp, but I sort of just put up with the actual gameplay. If it was put into an older game engine or had less pretty graphics nobody would give two shits about it tbh.
it’s telling me supplies have been depleted:crybaby:
Keep checking back, last week they had the same deal without the 1 code per ip thing and they got hammered to hell ( I missed it). It should be back sometime.
…damn. That offer is all out, y’all. Sadness.
I can’t really remember if it was me or not. If it was then np.
Cause they got that Unreal Engine on a discount my nigga!!!
(pretty sure it’s being used in the new PoP and wasn’t it used for the old one as well?)
But yeah, the character models look dated as do the animations in the cut scenes. Except for the opening interrogation.
X360 Slim?
Who called it? I called it.
Booyah bitches.
This is made better by your avatar.
Those prices sound crazy though. $199? This article treats the 360 like it’s this single sku when there are a bunch that come and go. I’ll guess that he means the Arcade would drop to $149.
I’d be looking to buy one once it’s bundled with Natal.
According to some thread where folks are complaining (gamefaqs) about it… the new Splinter Cell is apparently sub-HD resolution. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=927749&topic=53984226 The first post didn’t provide a link showing proof of that, but I love to peek in and see what they’re talking about over there on occasion.
heh, this reminded me of my disappointment with Halo 3. I started playing it on my old tv, then I had to get a new HD set since the old one broke down…turned it on and whaaa? Why is this…so…ugly? I thought a setting on my tv was off or something at first.
Anyway, the era of ugly games ended a long time ago…there’s really no excuse for it now.
Next Week: JUST CAUSE 2, folks. Let the grapple-hook shenanigans commence! I may not get this right away though. It’s amazing that this is all just the first quarter of the year…it may end up being the absolute best year for gamers in general.
Even Alan Wake appears to be coming out “for real for real” this time. (*and on that day, I wouldn’t be surprised to see pigs flying and a report from scientists that somehow discovered that Hell has indeed frozen over. Duke Nukem Forever and Champions Online come out in the following days…along with a new preview video for Huxley.)
I can’t believe it myself. I remember when Alan Wake got announced back at E3 2005 () and I was hella hyped. So much has happened since then that I don’t think people really care as much. Hopefully the time spent developing the game was worth it, because the videos looked pretty interesting.
Isn’t it the same demo from a while back though ? Hopefully they fix that up before release like God Of War 3 did.
For shits and giggles here’s a thread that has the native res of some games on PS3 & 360.
Got Perfect Dark off the XBLA, man this game is just as good as I remember it :bgrin:
You must not remember that Microsoft no longer requires games to run at 720p minimum anymore.
http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/20836/Microsoft-Drops-720p-Screen-Resolution-Requirement/
It’s supposedly to allow for more visual effects.
Course, sub-HD games are more common than you think.
So, Metro 2033. I was under the impression this was a sleeper hit. I took it for a ride.
Ehh…
It’s like the presentation, sound, and overall themes are 9/10, but then the gameplay is so god awful that it brings the whole game down to like a 6/10. Close, but no cigar.
Also, Resonance of Fate is stupid confusing. I want to get into it, but I guess now I know not to take amazing production value for granted (sup FF13).
squints…why does this thing look like a PS2 slim? Driving the price point down to $149 on the arcade? Hmmm…interesting…I’m looking forward to this year’s E3 more and more.
Looking for help from other 360 owners.
Recently got a new TV, the Sharp Aquos LC52E77U. Nice picture, GREAT game mode with imperceptible (to me, and I’m picky about this) lag. Hooked up my 360 and PS3 via HDMI (both using official Sony HDMI cables) and the Wii via component (because Nintendo sucks).
The PS3 is nice and crisp at 1080p, in menu and in games.
The 360 is noticeably less crisp and a little blurry at 1080p. (The Wii is also blurry.)
Anybody using a 360 with HDMI at 1080p? Any settings I have to tweak? Thanks in advance for any answers.
