Better than X3, not as epic as X2, but quite close. More fast-paced/interesting than X1.
Been telling people this movie is gonna be decent.
Just don’t Xpect it to follow continuity and you’ll be ok.
If your a comic book fan this should be easy for you
if you read comics you should be accustom to seperating the mediums with regards to continuity.

as a point of refference, i hated xmen 3, and of course the wolverine garbage
The ballsy commercials saying that it’s better than TDK pisses me off even more. How can they be so bold? Let’s see it make TDK money then.
Meh TDK was overrated anyways…yeah I said it. Not hating not calling it a bad movie, it just IMO wasn’t great shrug.

I heard many good things. Reviews are pretty positive. Going to see it in about 6 hours. Will post impressions nobody cares about after.
As Unreal said Dark Knight was overrated. Good ass movie but all the hype for it before and after was rediculous. At the end of the day it was basically a really good and well made comic book movie. X-men First Class is definitely on par with it.

Yea maybe it was some shit like whatever raw energy Shaw put into him was more powerful and quicker to blow up than his capacity to adapt to it. Thats what I think they were trying to show us…of course if it was following the comics then shit Darwin’s body should have “adapted” to just become raw energy. idk too much about darwin but I remember that his body will adapt automatically and that he can’t always control how it adapts. Still the blast should not have killed him. Stopped him for awhile until his body figured out how to adapt…I would have liked darwin just becoming raw energy ala dr manhattan then just reforming back into his human form. but it’s a movie and black peeps always die rough in movies.

Got to see it last night. It’s dope as hell. I’d put it way above the other 3 movies in the series: it’s not without it’s faults though. There is a scene with Maggy as a kid that dragged on way to long, the pacing is obscenely quick (which turns this into a movie about 3 people instead of a team of them…which was kind of the point, I guess), and some of the cg/costumes needed some work.
Whenever Charles and Magnus were on the screen together, it was perfect…and I mean that in the fullest of terms. They worked so fucking well together.
Shaw, Charles, and Magnus were gdlk. The cameo was gdlk as well, and he only had a single line.

LOL @ Darwin. I knew his ass was going to die as soon as they got him from the cab. Literally, the first thought I had was, “this ninja is going to die…horribly.”
My one real gripe with the film was Emma Frost. She was a waste of space and had that blank ass Keanu Reeves look, the entire film. I liked her in the 90’s cartoon and in the recent anime. In this, she was lifeless…
If they do another one, I hope they keep the director, and slow the pacing down some and work the racism angle a bit. Hopefully, Storm will be in with her Mohawk and dating Logan, or something. Oh, and Magneto needs to do a Gravity Squeeze and not have such a horrible ass outfit.

No, if we said “it was bad”, then sure you could say we were off based, we aren’t saying anything negative about TDK. We just felt its a bit over hyped. Nothign wrong with that shrug. Call it good advertisement and word of mouth. But I’d honestly take X2 over TDK (X2 is easily the best of the modern comic book movies to me).

Movie was just as good as the DK IMO but saying it’s better than it is a little much. I loved Thor but this movie shit on it for sure and now to wait for Green Lantern to see which film gets best comic based movie of the year.
I thought Emma Frost worked for this movie and her diamond form was leagues better than what it was in that wolverine movie. I’m pretty sure they’ll flesh her out more in the sequel but i actually liked the chick they used for this movie.
