X-Men: The Animated Series Helped Set the Template for Today’s Comic-Book Movies

And thats unfortunate if they need to kick that much promotion into a show just to ensure that itllbe good when the budget of smallville or any of those low budget CGI special effects drama could get the job done with good acting.
Just make a new animated series already. And its about time Storm get her own fuckin comic.
too many mangas…I tried reading from right to left.
Present day Ghost Rider and Hulk power levels? Not a chance in hell Sentinels work. Back then though I could see it.
I have no idea why they went after Daredevil and Iron Man. They are human. One in a costume and the other one wearing a metal suit of armor who probably have supported the plan (yes Civil War still makes me salty ).
End game the sentinels went after EVERYBODY associated with mutants, who helped mutants, and had possible mutant genes.
So you’re saying Franklin is as far beyond mutants as they are beyond you?
Yes. He turned Galactus into HIS herald. Nuff said. Now BARK Galactus. Play dead! Roll over! Who’s a good boy? tosses a planet
I don’t think an X-men show would work - mostly for financial purposes, BUT
X-men mini-series that is expected to do numbers via blu-ray and digital downlo0ad sales? could work.
Or - while I very much dislike wolverine, a standalone mutant series with cameos by other X-men could work. especially if they pick someone with low budget special effects like wolverine.
Real quick, for anyone that is interested, sale going on for X-men box set.
All 4 X-men movies (Blu-ray) - $15
All 4 X-men movies + both Wolverine movies (Blu-Ray) - $25
Pretty tempting deals. I should just wait until Black Friday though and get a boxed set with everthing…
The movie was okay, but the continuity between this and the other films is all fucked up. The writers definitely don’t care anymore.

X3 they didn’t care.
they tried to salvage the “franchise”
Plus… I figured out how the next one is going to go.
[details=Spoiler] Mystic is gonna go crazy and join Apoc, just like the cartoon. Guess who is gonna be the horsemen, the dead ppl from First class! New characters are going to get a bigger role unless they get a cool wolv. But, they dnt really need Jackman IMO. The only thing I’m wondering is if they will go the Cable route with Age of Apoc, or Like in the cartoon, Apoc creating a disease to destroy shit.
tatom better not be cable… or in the movie.
Only thing I didn’t really like was Bisop dying from overcharge. it looked cool, but why wouldn’t he launch it back at them. He felt weak and was not huge enough, lol. [/details]
Yo… but you guys should really forget about X3.
I thought they were going to erase that one and thought they did.
^Sounds plausible.
I could also see Apoc giving Wolverine the adamantium and making him “Death” a la the Twelve Saga , perhaps to change it up from Stryker being responsible.

The cartoon was so good and had such a good cliffhanger set ups.
Outside of wolv never killing anything, haha.
dude…I forgot Wolv boding the dudes. Those deaths were pretty crazy!

it only got good near the end.
lmfao…and his claw is like 20 ft long
I just watched. I thought it was solid. And kept shit going at a good pace. And it’s good to see Magneto on his domniator shit. Interesting in whats in store for the Apocalypse movie. I would say this is better than ASM2 because everything flowed right and I didn’t get bored
But yeah it was solid, and its always good to see a super hero film done right. IMO
is Quicksilver played by the same guy that was meant to be him at the end of Cap2?
No. That Quicksilver is played by Aaron Taylor Johnson
Solid movie. My very minor issue with it was, it seemed way too much of an Xavier, Magneto and Wolverine show. They are easily the 3 marquee characters of the movies brand, but with so many mutants, it would have been great to see some more team dynamic stuff going on. That’s always been the best part about the xmen brand to me, it’s a team thing.
Fortunately, im sure the apocalypse movie will have plenty of that, nobody is dealing with him solo

Different movie studios… they aren’t connected.
It’ll definitely confuse a lot of people.
It was all right. I don’t think Quicksilver was ever that powerful in the comics. It’s probably the best X-men movie (even counting the Wolverine spinoffs).*
Age of Apocalypse might be interesting.
* I’m not really a big fan of the X-Men or any of the movies in general.
Both Quicksilvers are the dudes from KICKASS, lol
Kickass was also in Godzilla
sharing is caring
Was Quicksilver ever that powerful in the comics or cartoons? I’m not as familiar with him as I am with most X-Men characters. I was under the impression that he was just a speedster and didn’t exactly have Matrix-like dodging.
