X-MEN : Days of Future Past Thread

My only real gripe about the movie is that the Sentinels didn’t speak. Just ONE “surrender mutant” is all I ask!!

Stop expecting people to think about these stories logically.

*As a QuickSilver fan, I approve of how he was represented in the movie. Not sure how Pietro will be in Avengers, but I look forward to it.

Movie was solid and I liked how they tried to tie everything together. But honestly, I’d rather have First Class lineage be it’s own thing. *

here’s some old days of the future past

It’s a legit question. In the Marvel universe, beings like spider-man and hulk are not referred as mutants but mutates. And yes, sentinels killed non-mutants, too.

And here’s that old Generation X TV adaptation :S

heres something i never got about the cartoon, why was there scenes where there was a vat with wolverines skeleton?

I have 2 theories.

  1. Being a kids show, they couldn’t blatantly show Wolvie being killed by a Sentinel, so they had the skeleton there to show the future is rough and even Logan die.

  2. Forge is a resourceful nigga. Maybe he could use part of the adamantium for the time machine, weapons, replaceable prosthetic leg for himself etc…

Damn why’d have to post that 90s X-Men episode now I’m going to be up all night.

Also are children of mutates considered mutants?

I’ll ignore anything if it lets me make a dig at Tony Stark :coffee:

Considering Franklin Richards is classified as a mutant in most circles, I’d wager yes.

Calling Franklin a Mutant is an insult to the kid.
The Kid is more like God.

So you’re saying Franklin is as far beyond mutants as they are beyond you?

X-Factor Investigations could be a good show to watch

I am not sure, but I would say no.

For example, Mr. Hyde, some nut who experimented on himself and got powers, is a mutate and he has a daughter, Quake (appeared a few time on that Avengers cartoon). It was thought she was a mutant because of her powers, but it was found out later she was not a mutant because she did not have the x-gene; she just got powers because of the changes in her father’s DNA. So, she’s a born mutate.

Now Franklin Richards’ parents are both mutates, despite that Franklin was born with the x-gene. Born mutant. Maybe his parents getting irradiated helped speed up the appearance of a dormant x-gene.

Can someone tell me what caused Stryker’s men to puke while apprehending Mystique? I almost spilled my drank putting it on the armrest and missed it…I’m guessing Toad had something to do with that. I thought it was a slight rib at Jennifer Lawrence from the Oscars haha

depends…that shitty fake xmen mutant x last a good while and they didnt have 1 single known mutant in it.

the show was shit…now think about a show that isnt shit. its not the fact the show was shit that made it last…it was the mere fact it had semi to do with marvel, thats why it succeeded so long. people were fiending for some xmen products hard. now we got everything correct…sorta…finally…you dont think a true xmen show wouldnt do well??

personally i could see something like the runaways as a tv show.

Ah Ink lol

OK … I guess the problem I have with this movie: there’s a lot of new mutants showcased in this 2-hour movie that even a slight distraction will cause you to miss highlights in the group battles. Warpath is someone else I’d forget a month from now as he didn’t do boo-boo

X-3 had the same issue, but worst. I had no idea Jubilee and Psylocke was in that until I saw the credits

i have a feeling with the xmen brand name attached…they def could get the right amount of sponsors and brand names. especially if its heralded by a big name actor in general or from the series itself.

stahp. they can easily place cars, computer products and ect without it before distracting. with the amount of effects fringe had, i dont see xmen costing that much more. especially in the last 2 seasons of fringe…special effects heavy.

I’m down to watch the Pepsi-Men :coffee:
