Hobbit being 3 movies was a total pain in the dick. It all depends on what happens with FF now. Fox plays ball, we get an Avengers vs X-Men movie by 2020, and Fox gets to have all kinds of fun adventures with the X-Men, and Marvel goes back to making proper X-Men and FF comics, thus creating new storylines for Fox to use. Fox and Marvel can also use the exchange as an excuse to ever reboot their merged universes.
Then youâd open the doors for shit like Old Man Logan (which would have to be Hugh Jackmanâs last movie, more than likely, and couldnât be done without access to more Marvel owned characters), Onslaught, and even properly done cosmic adventures (Annihilus Wave, the Cancerverse, etc) that require access to pretty much all of Marvel.
I was always under the impression that Wolverine 3 was putting in a bunch of stuff from Old Man Logan and Death of Wolverine. Not to mention the rumours of Sabretooth, Yukio, Laura, and/or Daken possibly being in it.
