But X-Menâs continuity has been inconsistent for the last 10 years or so, at this point everyone should have realized you must look every movie as a self-contained piece and every thing connecting is just a plus.
great justification on why it will be another clusterfuck of a movie that will get looked down on when marvel starts pumping out their phase 3 movies. go fox.
I often find they try to cram tons of characters into one movie. Though in x3 they had promotional posters for gambit and white queen yet didnât have them in the movie
But I do think that the new xmen movie will be quite awesome and will show case the younger versions of the xmen. Though Im not overly excited about the nightcrawler actor
He will be in it. I care about cotinuity errors when itâs really that bad. Itâs hard to enjoy a movie when you are âWTFâ most of the time. I really hate Fox for the destroying the X-men.
The solution is quite simple: Watch every movie as a thing of its own. And honesty most of the continuity problems of the X-Men series are not important, like at all.
The problem is if connecting all the movies together is gonna be a selling point then being constant is a must. Once audiences begin to invest on a shared universe and things donât sync then problems will rise. It was a major complaint with First Class as it contradicted a whole bunch of shit.
sigh⌠unfortunately, fox doing New Mutants means theyâll keep the x-men license still. It would be cool if some light was shined on Selene. Magneto and Apocalypse are not the only cool villains. Selene kicks all kinds of ass.
Anybody played Wolverine Adamantium Rage? Selene is a boss. The song is cool.
I highly disagree. Continuity is a very big problem. One of the reasons why the Avengers are making such a huge pop culture impact right now is because they are doing their media right. The X-men was the shit during the 90âs because their media was done right and at this time the popular venue for media is the movies. That fact that the x-men have storylines that all contradict each other with very shitty character depth towards anyone who isnât wolverine shows why they are not as cared about at this time in comparison to the other Marvel franchises. You sound like a huge fox fan.
First Class and DoFP gave pretty nice character depth to Xavier, Magneto, Mystique and even Beast. On the other hand you canât expect too much depth in a movie series unless every character has its own movie like in the MCU.
In their defense, they started much before than Marvel, before all this about coordinating a world of superheroes was ever a thing.
Iâm quite of a fan of Vaughn and Singerâs work on X-Men.
