speculation: Morlocks? Maybe Storm will be aligned with them?
Another possibility is that Caliban could be one of the Horseman.
He was Archangels unofficial replacement after Warren broke free of Apocs brainwashing.
Nothing connects at all. Not from the comics nor the movies. The contradictions were such major things that they insisted to go âhey, just pretend that the other x-men movies never happenedâ and create random internet blogs to explain why this is like this and how this was like that. It was horrible
Vision and Scarlet Witch never had their own movie but they were well received by the fans because the writers did it write. The X-men was always a ensemble cast, giving no care to big figures like Cyclops and ruining characters like Rogue was just terrible and you should be ashamed of even defending the movies.
Not really ânewsâ, but Storms actress is bald, so most likely she will have a mohawk
(IIRC only time comic storm was bald was X-tinction agenda after undergoing the mutate process)
Well, you have to understand that was an ADAPTATION. If you follow the X-Men 1 plot, you can see Rogue makes total sense as a character and as an actant in the movie, she might not be quite the same of the comics but her role was perfect in the first filmâŚ
What did you expect? Seeing her flying and throwing punches just like Superman? It was a more grounded (no pun intended) and humane interpretation of the character, a runaway self-deprived from human contact because she couldnât touch anybody. Yeah, there was probably more room for her to grow up but the years on the Xavier Institute are much more of an adaptation of the classic young X-Men struggling with adolescence. Maybe she was not quite the same of the comics, but she was perfectly fitting with the concept of the X-Men universe.
X-Men movies were a huge step up from previous superhero movies and for sure it gave many ideas to Marvel of how to adapt superheroes to modern cinema.
They didnât ruin shit. They got many things of the comics pretty well (maybe thatâs why the Ultimate universe drew many things from their vision), some of them outright wrong (Cyclops personality) and the most blatant problem (the excessive protagonism for Wolverine) only became a major criticizable point after Singerâs exit, with X-Men 3 and Wolverine Origins. Right now, I think theyâre doing the stuff pretty good.
Only elitists would shit on the franchise that catapulted the stories they love to the big screen. Blade did have success, but thereâs a huge difference between a dude whoâs a vampire killing other vampires vs. people with flight, telekinesis, and laser beams fighting one another.
Man, around the time the 2nd and 3rd X-Men films came out, I swear younger me thought Anna Paquin was hot as hell.
And as for Jubilee, last I heard she was some vampire or shit? I donât really care on that though to be honest. Just put X-23 in that Wolverine sequel without fucking her up completely, and Iâll be happy.
Jubilee got turned into a vampire in a X-Men event that tried to feed off the popularity of twilight. She managed to overcome the daylight weakness and adopted a child named Shogo. Jubilee still awesome.
Is that like some weird way or trying to have her de-powered but essentially be like âhey, not she has stuff thatâs more than just âooh, fireworksââ?
Yeah, thatâs what I meant. That they pretty much were like âsince sheâs de-powered and lost the fireworks, we can swap them out for some other powers we think are better by making her a vampireâ.
A GIRL WOLVERINE OMG FUCKING SJWS DESTROYING THE SANCTITY OF WOLVERINE HE USED TO BE STRONG AND EVERYONE KNOWS GIRLS CANâT BE STRONG WTF LIBERALS RUIN EVERYTHING
shrug She has a stronger healing factor than he did anyway, so whatever. I mean who were they expecting to be the new Wolverine? Daken with his being batshit?
