Disney isn’t allowing Fox to do shit when it comes to movies. Fox simply isn’t going to give up the rights short of them completely tanking 3 consecutive movies like FF did.

No, actually Marvel/Disney has to show what it’s called Good Faith. It’s part of these film contracts where if you don’t option the property the licenses revert back to the IP holder.
Marvel/Disney has to prove the films bomb and ether lose money or damage their brand to not Green Light a Film.

Marvel/Disney can ax an Fantastic Four film now as there been 4 bad Fantastic Four movies (the first one was never released how bad it was).
Now with X-men, with First Class, Days of Future Past, Deadpool and Logan doing well Marvel/Disney can’t just say “NO” because they want the film rights back.
They have to basically prove that Fox is damaging their X-men Brand to shit can a film.

…I know…I said this already. If it were as easy as just saying no, this would’ve been done years ago.

Marie - Rogue as a little kid or Jean as a kid?.

Since this is Fox, I am sure only 1 of these will be right lol.

All I want is for Mystique to adopt Rogue and bring her into the Brotherhood by the movie’s end. That and hopefully more focus on Jean and Cyclops. This is the Dark Phoenix Saga, after all…

Edit: And i loved X-Men 3. It was a fun action movie despite it’s problems.

It’s like fox had no faith in Brett Ratner to make a GOOD X-Men movie. So they just told him to go balls-out crazy with a summer action flick, that happened to feature the X-Men, and he delivered. To it’s credit, the cast turned out great performances despite the script also.

Comedy relief/ plot device, that is Pietro’s function here.
Also Fox’s Quicksilver might be the more popular of the two, but he also nothing like his comic book counterpart in terms of personality.
MCU’s Quicksilver is closer to the Comic’s book’s Quicksilver in personality. Quicksliver’s first powers isn’t super speed but being a jerk to everyone.
