Hey Jasen, I’m thinking about swapping out these Seimitsu buttons for some Sanwa’s. While I’m at it, I wanted to see if it was possible to install some led or led kit that lights up the button when pressed, any recommendations? Thanks!

How would I connect that 20 pin ribbon cable if it’s already connected to the EZ Build board? Thanks Jasen.

In that case, I would go with the Standard Mini and use a breakout board to link the signals with the BROOK UFB screw terminals.

Hmm, ok thanks. The Seimitsu buttons stay in but i can pull them out with my fingernails, not a big deal…Good to know about the Sanwa buttons.

Interesting, I haven’t had this issue. Then again, I haven’t used Seimitsu buttons on the top recently, only the sides.

So just to confirm before I buy, the Sanwa OBSC 30mm will click and seat all the way down?

Yes, they will.

The only thing to note is OBSCs though, is they tend to be overmolded… and inconsistently, meaning they are slightly larger than 30mm (like 30.05mm). You may have some slight sanding of the button hole to do to remove some powder coat from the case to accommodate if the caps get stuck “down” . Not a lot… and not all the time. Its just a stupid thing with the OBSCs I have found over the years. The Panzer buttons holes are slightly larger than 30mm / 24mm to accommodate for the powder thickness and sometimes it can be tight. I tried going a bit larger but then OBSFs fit loose if you cut the holes too big and then it doesn’t affect all of the OBSCs. Its very odd. You may have 0 problems and it wont be a big deal.

I received mine on thursday and I only thing I noticed was that the box was trapped up using your logo. Is that what you’re referring too? Definitely a lot more interesting than boring clear tape most places uses lol

Here’s some photos i took of my panzer 3 hitbox diy kit that i got on wednesday. I have to say, super impressed with the case and EZ BUILD and how easy it was to put this all together. I’ve actually put 2 brook universals into old madcatz TE round 2s end of last year and wish i had known about the EZ BUILD/MOD then, but instead i did everything by hand and soldered onto the brook L3/R3 etc. I actually have a TE2+ and TES+ and although this is the first time i’ve used a hitbox i’m liking it already so i may convert one of those so i have two hitboxes and i will definitely get Jasens EZ BUILD/MOD if so. I really like Jasens case and the whole package, would definitely recommend it! I also got the package wrapped in your new custom tape Jasen, but wasn’t aware it was new either, nice touch!

For the artwork, i really like the movie Back to the Future and it’s been my ringtone for about ten years, and my PC CFN accounts are “GetUpTo88” and “WeDontNeedRoads” in reference to the movie so i drew a flux capacitor in photoshop for my artwork. For anyone who cares about this stuff, i printed it on our Epson 3880 with Hahnemuhle Fineart Pearl - the texture of this paper with the printed black works great with Jasens Panzer 3 case as it basically blends in seamlessly with the powder coated metal. Might be hard to see that in the photos but i like it. I’ve also had the nickname “CaptainHook” for about 14 years now which is my PS4 CFN account for SFV so “Hook” is on there kinda subtle too, along with Jasens Panzer logo i added.

Thanks to Jasen and Spencer for making this so easy! I’m in Australia and it took about two weeks for me to get it from time of order - and i ordered during Spencer’s holiday so turnaround time was great!
