www.JasensCustoms.com - Panzer Fight Sticks, ADCAP SuperGuns, EZ MODs, and more!

Awesome. I’ve been enamored with your cases! I have a hitbox and honestly, I don’t want to go back to plastic. I’ve never had a fightstick as big as a vlx, but with what I want to do with it, it might be my only option.

So what’s up with the lateral centering of the stick and buttons on the Panzer? Only the Noir Widebody seems exempt from what seems to be a heavy leftward shift.

The JLF does shift to the RIGHT on the Vewlix layout. The Noir/Vewlix offset from buttons to Joystick are physically different in the layout; as the buttons are closer to the stick in the true Vewlix layout than the true Noir Layout. Some have spread it out to match the Noir and others at 95mm instead of the standard 59mm but I chose to keep it true to the original. Overall, I tried to keep it as center in the case as possible. You can see the layouts below:

ORANGE: NOIR
GREEN: ERGOSTICK
PINK: VEWLIX

I love everything about that art except the dude on the bottom.

That looks super, it almost has a Persona-esque vibe don’t you think?

Oooo…

Hey Jasen, already posted this at the AO forums and also sent you an email but since you didn’t reply I’ll post this here;

A few weeks ago I received the Aero City control panel surround sticker that I bought from your store, Once I had it installed I noticed that is a bit off by a few milimeters, I wonder if anyone else noticed this, maybe you can fix it?:

I was waiting for yor email back with pictures

It’s interesting it’s off since I used exact measurements from another member on AO. Extending it left is simple enough, can you send over a close up of the difference? I’m happy to update and send you a new one.

Sorry about the confusion on replying, I wasn’t trying to ignore you just was waiting for the reply with pictures. Interestingly, I never got an email saying I had a reply at AO. I’ll have to check my junk folder and see if the pings are going there by mistake.

Thanks for your answer, didn’t know you were waiting for my photos, anyways…this is the best I could do to show you what I’m talking about:

As you can see, the control panel itself should be surrounded by white, and the white borders at both sides should be thinner by a few milimeters, probably you have it already figured out , but I were you I would try to adjust the whole thing since the lettering might be a bit off in size too.

The overall stick/button layout seems left-of-center to me. Hori, for instance, puts the lower-left action button (i.e. A/X) dead-center horizontally on their latest sticks, which feels a lot more balanced. Some like the Razer Atrox and the Noir layout TE2 panel have the lower-left button right of center, which works a lot better I think. On so many smaller sticks the side of my left palm is hanging off the edge of the stick case.

I spent the better part of a day yesterday building a case for a 25" Arcade Monitor. I wanted to have the perfect arcade monitor setup for my SuperGun testing, so I just built a case for an WG25" Monitor. I tapped into some SpeakerBox building skills from High School (15 years ago!) and am pretty happy with the results.

I wanted to share this with everyone, so I sat down today and moved my hand drawing to a no kidding CAD drawing. Should be good for a CNC machine to whip up if you have access to one

Here’s the skinny on parts:
[] Black Lines are all cut lines
[
] Blue Lines are the outline of the plywood
[] Red Lines are reference lines, i.e. where the sides fit, top fits, screws go, etc. (Note: I did notice that one line is black on the bottom piece that should be red, I wont update the FB image to avoid double posting).
[
] Feet are: http://www.parts-express.com/penn-elcom-9106-rubber-cabinet-foot-25-dia-x-1-h--260-772
[] Side Handles are: http://www.parts-express.com/penn-elcom-h7154k-spring-flex-cabinet-handle-black--260-701
[
] Top Vents are: http://www.parts-express.com/penn-elcom-d2101k-04-perforated-dish-black-5-x-7--262-044
[] Back Entry Panel will be setup for something I design in house  It will have a power switch, an AC entry module, and at least an 8 Pin Mini Din for connecting the SuperGun RGB Out
[
] Uses 1 4’ x8’ 3/4" Ply. I used birch.
[] Needs some screws (1.25" should be fine)
[
] Needs some 3/8" bolts, washers, and lock washers for the feet
[] Needs some Speaker Box Carpet. I found it on Amazon, along with the 3M spray glue.
[
] Need some nice screws for the metal panels. I used these: http://www.parts-express.com/parts-express-8-x-3-4-deep-thread-pan-head-screws-black-100-pcs--081-422
[] Need a 3/4" Cam Lock. I found this at Home Depot in the cabinet aisle
[
] Need a 24" Piano Hinge. I found that Home Depot had 18" and 30". I cut one to size using my Dremel

Not shown but a good idea: a handle for the back door panel
Overall size is 25.5" wide by 22.125" tall and 24" Deep.

Just wanted to provide a quick update on the PFS:KE’s that were Preordered in December for those that don’t follow Jasen’s Customs on Facebook (JCC-FB)

The Pre-Order Period ended on 15 December. The Fanta stick is unique, as such the user base is a small subsection of the FGC. Despite this, the preorder was successful with 12 sticks/cases sold! The cases went into manufacturing on the 16th and even with the holidays were finished on 27 December, just in time for more holidays!

https://scontent-b-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/v/t1.0-9/10849871_1747760478783300_1304828035721734908_n.jpg?oh=c2c324ec9dbf0ef656ee1efebf24ca8f&oe=552BECCA

So why haven’t these shipped yet? Mounting plates. There is an integral part of these that sits between the body of the stick and the case to ensure they are securely mounted at the proper height securely. The plates that I were made before the cases started getting built fit the very beta testing case that used a threaded stud to mount the stick but don’t fit the threaded standoff that was the best engineering choice for the final build, the mounting holes were just a sliver to small. Instead of forcing it to work, not the JCC way, I decided to get the spacers remade so the quality of the final build is exactly what you all expect from JCC. Top notch.

I expect the spacers to be complete within the next couple of days after the New Year hangovers wear off and folks get back to work. This means PFS:KEs should start shipping mid-late next week. Those with case only orders will get their shipped right away, and complete builds will be coming right afterwards. Fortunately, all of the wiring is pre-built and ready to install so full builds (despite me being a one man operation) won’t have an extended lead time for wiring and testing.

This has been a great experience brining a new limited run stick to the market. Lots of moving parts and planning involved that highlighted some things that can be streamlined in the future for smoother/faster limited edition products. Thanks again for your support and patience with me and the KE’s.

Just wanted to share this beast. Its finished. For now…

I have the plans being cut via CNC to verify they are 100%. Im about 95% confident they are, but you never know until you get it cut out

For the Mk48 supergun enclosure tutorial video you made, what screws did you use or buy? I want to make sure I get the right screws before I buy the enclosure.

The internal screws are all 4-40. I also use 4-40 on most of the outside with the exception of the M2.6 screws I use for S-Video and RGB MiniDin. If you order one, just pop me a note in the comments and I can include the screws

Awesome, thanks!

Quick update on the PFS:KEs… they are shipping this week, pending the spacers arrive Monday/Tuesday as I expect. As a small added fun bonus, each one has been personalized.

This will be the last week of the Panzer Fight Stick Wide Body being available as well as the NEO-GEO Covers/Bases. I have decided to discontinue them moving forward. If you are interested in picking any of these items up, please get your order in this week. Thanks!

Slow sellers I take it? Any chance of the Wide’s standard plexi making it to the regular Panzer? IMHO, the Wide was just too wide and a Goldilocks in-between size (with standard plexi) would be awesome.
