F.D.K. - yeah I got the T.E. 6 button layout in my order sheet so you’re good there (updated the post too). About the function buttons and the Usb pass through you should be fine, the case comes with 3 button holes and a 4th hole for the jack like this [ ooo o ] thats was the standard layout for that case design.

Voltech, YGPM on the template. Also, I couldn’t really tell from the pic, but is the neutrick hole set up to mount from the outside or the inside? Cant wait to see the finished prototypes…
It should be able to do both. This prototype the holes where a little too big for inside mounting but I think I fixed that with the next build.
One thing I’m working on is getting Art to do the Plexi tops and he agreed so I’m going to be working with him on that and hopefully we’ll be able to offer some pretty slick custom plexi tops - It just keeps getting better 
What are you thinking of doing for the plexi tops? Would you have to ship him a case to take measurements and what not?
Yes I may end up doing that but I 've also got my sketch up models and all the measurements documented so that it will be an exact fit. I’ll also make sure the Photoshop templates match up so he can cut out the art as well as the replacement templates for a perfect fit every time ;).

Very kickass on both counts. Inside mounting of the neutrick always looks better IMO, and if Art does the plexi and artwork, That’s even more options. Madcatz better look out!
Guessing it isn’t possible, but any chance of getting the bolts in the corners of the plexi rather than outside it? Look great btw++
Seeing the full stick, I think they definitely could use three t bolts on each side. Maybe just cut the head off of one for the top center one? But I think with 6 of them(and powder coated to fit with whatever color scheme) the t bolts will look good.

No if I put them inside the frame it would have no effect on the case at all just the plexi top. I know it would complete the look but I would have to do a total redesign. But if I end up using the weld nuts I could put the t bolts on the inside and that would settle it.
Yep I’m going to drill this one out and see how it looks with 3. I’m guessing pretty good

Question about the wood sides on the lite version…are those painted to whatever color we like or are they always going to be white?
The sides will either be left blank, Clear coated, painted white or black at this time. I can not powder coat them and I don’ feel like investing in a bunch of paints, I’v got enough going on for right now lol. I’d like to do custom colors but I’m already spending all my time and money on the other aspects of the case design. My suggestion is if you want it a special color to just get a blank and you could paint it yourself with what ever color you want. It will be detachable and should be easy to paint.

So I think I’ll go and drill the middle hole out of the prototype case and see how that looks. If I end up doing this I’ll have them cut at the metal shop to ensure they are aligned properly (right now I’m doing it free hand)

The case pictured on your flicker doesn’t have the plexi part centered. Still plan on doing that for future cases?
Is the art cut to fit the plexi, or is it a full sheet you stuck under the metal part?
The case pictured is a slim?
Can you powder coat the bolts so they match the case color?
Do you expect to make any changes in the next run of two of them?
How secure is the plexi top? Pop out when held upside down?

The plexi is centered but the bolts may be off a little since I just drilled them by hand. I’ll probably have the shop cut them out so their all aligned straight. Plus that plexi was something I just threw together to see if I could round the edges by hand

Yes the art is tucked under the the shell I cut it just a little bigger than the plexi

We’ll sse about changes I want to think I can get it right the first time around but it seem that I find little things all the time to make it better so I’m guessing little changes will be made from time to time.
Will the art be changeable ?
Oh for sure the shell is separate from the frame and art changes should be pretty easy. You can do it the old way as well I just thought the tucked looked cleaner with out the seems showing. So I guess if Art printed them out you could ask for it oversized or cut to fit. I’ll talk with him about that when we get into it.
