Point taken. I have four American sticks including two SF anni sticks. They’re a lot of fun to play on. I didn’t buy this to Americanize a JLF. I prefer a square gate. I highly doubt I’ll be using this in place of it. I just saw it as something curious and wanted to support the guy. /end rambling
ive always been interested picking up a circle gate somewhere/sometime. id buy one off you.
+1, also, is making my JLF stiffer Americanizing it? I’d think not, since LS-32’s are also stiff. /innuendo

at best, the throw is equal to the octo, but since he has to sand it down a little extra, the throw has to be slightly more than the octo.

yea thanks for the interest guys! im just waitin on friday 2 get my paycheck n get a good amount ordered! so i can start prepping! and the throw is slightly longer then the octo-gate. im gonna see if i can get this figured out so its about the same as the octo-gate or a lil less what do u guys think?
oh and on a side note… sry i haven’t been on with updates i’ve been working like a mad man! with 1 day off in the past 2 weeks. but that wont effect the process of pushing this guys out for you! at the very longest it takes me about 4 minutes to “mod” the gate!

Mine came in today. It’s pretty damn awesome. The highest compliment I can pay is that I left it in my stick. I expected it to put it in, have a laugh and take it out.
Admittedly I play a lot more shmups than I do fighters. I didn’t have any trouble with diags though which was my concern. I fired up HD Remix and was easily able to do 360s with T. Hawk.
You have my recommendation. If anyone is thinking of ordering I’d say go for it. :tup:

if you could do this, that would be optimal imo, but how can you do that? the diags on the square are the same as the diags on the octo. so even if you made it perfect, the throw should be equal. if you could somehow make it smaller that would be great though.
i would just need a smaller grinding bit!

Ill definitely buy one. I need to play mahvel without the guilt of playing on a squre gate.
You do it out of a 2-way gate, that’s how I did it at least. If you start from a square restrictor, as the dude here, you end up with the square inscribed in a circle, meaning the throw of the main directions will be too big. That’s why I didn’t even consider modding a square gate.

Yes, Gummowned do the Square also.
With Gummowned, the Circle is circumscribed with the Square.
So the Circle is bigger compared to inscribed circle.
So I told him to do like M K L:
From the pictures, it looks like Sasuke182 do same as Gummowned.
M K L way keeps the UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT.
Decreases the Diagonals.
Sasuke182 way keeps the UP-LEFT, UP-RIGHT, DOWN-LEFT, DOWN-RIGHT.
Increases the Primary Directions.

sasuke, i dunno about anyone else, but if you could make mine starting with the two way restrictor so the throw is smaller that would be preferable.

from reading around the forums, it seems most people would prefer a smaller throw, but i think providing both options would be good. i’d want to try both out myself anyway.
