WTF?! A Lubbock thread?!

Word on the hot chick…:smokin:

When the hell did you turn 35 JRA?!?!?!
I vote for you, you should make Street Fighter and Tekken an American sport!!!

Edit: Anyone watch the game? We won in overtime, 37-31. It’s seems like everything is on XBox360 now, Battle Fantasia, Tekken, SFIV, and maybe MvC2 Live. Don’t know what’s up with BlazBlue though. Only time I will want a Wii now, for TvC as well :frowning:

Prime Time is turning 21, I don’t know if I’ll be down for games later tonight.

The American people don’t know I’m not 35 =).

Also, I have many people in different agencies working to make gaming an American sport. The people must be heard!

Today was COOOOOLLD…

Juilius, when do you graduate btw? Controls of Dynamics Systems isn’t going to well for me  Also, do you have to take the FE Exam? I think computer engineers are encourage too.

Typing with sticky hands…

From what? You might be thinking…

Shanghai Chicken sauce, assholes =P.

okay…

JRA, did you read the interview with the Smash commentary at EVO on the front page? Just wanted to see what your thoughts are since you’re the only one that plays Brawl here.

Let me read it now…

EDIT: Front page of where? Evo2k.com? SRK? SWF? Brb…

EDIT 2: Just read it. I was getting exhausted at the end…

My response is this:

The entire smash series was not intended for competitive play from the very start. Is it a coincidence that Tekken, Guilty Gear, or ANY street fighter game still holds their own in the competitive community? While games like Smash, DBZ, Facebreaker etc seem to not last as long?

I don’t think so.

Creators have already said they didn’t want Smash to be a competitive game from the start. They started adding tripping and all that shit to make it where everyone can win.

Why did competitive players have to modify Smash’s ruleset with super counterbans and counter reset counter stage ban counter bans, lol. I still don’t understand that shit. Why did the programmers program so much that could affect gameplay? (Items, SmashBalls, Tripping, Big Mode, Tiny Mode, etc.) Why did they also have so much focus on single player? (Subspace Emmisary, Homerun Contest, Break the Targets, etc.)

It seems to me their focus from day 1 wasn’t competitive play, but instead making it where everyone can play, and everyone can have fun.

I hate brawl and smash bros…nuff said.

Remember that Absolute Zero card, Fabs?

How about the UT vs Tech game on Saturday, #1 vs #5. My roommate Justin already plans to camp out on Thursday. Halloween is also this Friday, this weekend will be packed and crazy.

I’ve heard that the hotels and such are all full and people are already camping out for the game. Its going to be massive at Jones Stadium
