Would you pay $40 for a game with 12 characters and 8 stages?

That’s all I actually want. Even if it’s not great. Let’s make it a little more professional.

My “argument,” if you wish to call it that, was single player + lobbies/netcode, and how other games have it, and MvC 3 doesn’t. I understand the function of SRK, and I have in the past met up with other players whom I met on this site to play some games with, but on the day where I just want to sit at home and relax but still play with my friends online… let’s just say MvC 3 isn’t the game of choice. Not because we DON’T want to play it, but because we literally cannot. Are you trying to tell me this hasn’t happened to you at all? Doesn’t this annoy you in the slightest bit?

My point is, other fighting games have at least workable netcode, and yet this new update is supposed to promise something that should have been there from the start.

And it’s also wonderful that nobody tackled the single player part of my post, but then again, what am I playing fighters for if I want a story, am I right?

Winning or losing - I wasn’t aware I was playing a game, I thought this was simple conversation.

But the Umvc3 netcode is going to be just as bad.

So why are you wasting the boards time with your…cries?

If the netcode is just as bad in Ultimate y’all should send them fish in the mail.

It would be truly outrageous if they didn’t fix it in dramatic fashion.

Lol’d. They already got you.

PC is free to update and patch, companies have to pay thousands to PSN/XBL to get the content tested and out there. Maybe the disc update was cheaper for us and Capcom than a DLC update (either all in one package or divided). I don’t know and either do you though. You’re on the outside looking in, you do not know the inner workings so please stop acting like you do.

If you do know, please share the proof that Capcom was fully able to provide a better netcode than the one we have now, spectator mode, more characters and whatever else you’re whining about in MvC3.

And would everyone please stop comparing MvC3 to Super SF4. You have to compare it to SF4.

MvC3 has more than SF4 and SF4 had an arcade release to support it’s console release.
There was no spectator mode in SF4, there was only 2 person lobbies.
SF4 roster was smaller than MvC3 roster.
SF4 had less patches than MvC3.
I’m not sure why people are asking why the netcode isn’t like SF4. Pretty it is that netcode and the reason why it’s ass. MvC3 is a lot more game to send than SF4. If they couldn’t tweak that netcode to work without a complete overhaul or build a new one from the ground up within the time or budget, then so be it.

It’s really annoying that people feel the need to complain about things when they don’t care to understand or find out the process in how it’s made

Are you a shareholder in the company?

If not, then as long as they’re able to stay salient (so you can continue to get more games), you shouldn’t be concerned if something costs them money.

I dont have to say how many times im not getting something.

So them losing money and eventually going bankrupt and us not getting the games we love anymore does not affect us?

Real stern logic there. Maybe part of the reason America is in the shithole right now, due to the apparent selfishness and inconsiderate behavior of majority of people.

How about everyone just let’s everyone else vote with their wallets and that will be that. Isn’t that what freedom is?

Also, if your going to rate products, how about waiting until we get the tangible product and then determining if it was worth it. I’m pretty sure we all have stories in our own lives where our initial impressions of something were different of what we got in the end.

Even if all of the the MvCgate theory is correct, unless you talk to the people who were involved and have intimate knowledge of the situation, it’s pretty puerile to throw around accusations. Sure Capcom is a business, not a charity, and therefore needs to make profits, but to just say something is “bs” without concrete evidence is pretty crazy.

I’m definitely going to check the game out before I buy it to make sure it is a prudent purchase but I’m not going to berate a product without my own hands-on experience.

Did you read what I wrote?

Or did you read the first part, see something that caught your eye, and then not pay attention to what else was written?

I said:

It’s pretty cut-and-dry. Why would you be concerned with their financials beyond them making enough to maintain?

Just enough to sustain them, would result with us getting less risky investments in cult classics and new games.

This means they are less likely to do new MM games, do new investment in new titles that were like AA and DR, and such.

And with the rising cost of video games, companies need to do more than sustain themselves to ensure there future. Need to keep a moderate amount of money in the bank to fund the rising costs due to being able to survive in the current climate means making more money and more, and being just enough to stay afloat would send them into bankrupcy in a year. With new systems probably coming out in 2014, the amount to stay afloat would drastically rise.

There’s a lot of speculation in that post.

That sounds mighty ignorant and selfish. I guess this goes in line with the demands for a free netcode improvement without regard to the resources and ability to do so from you. Don’t need to know the how or all the details, just get me what I want right?

No there isn’t. The more money a company makes, the more money they have to invest in new titles and such which can lead to new titles or lead them to revive old dead titles.

And Sony/Microsoft will probably announce new systems in the upcoming years. Average game system has about 7-10 years before new one must be released due to new technology and systems hardware being maxed out.

Why would I be concerned with their profits?

When they post earnings of 2 million do you hope for 3 next year?

They’re a thriving company. Why are you concerned?

And the netcode improvement is hardly free. I paid $60 for a copy of MvC3. We all agree the netplay is pathetic. They should make it right.

I’m not going to address your digs at me aside from in this sentence.

Two million earnings is not that much for a corporation I hate to inform you. Hell, two million dollars for an individual isn’t even that much.

Two million is barely any to invest in future properties and old favorites. Really need to look up game development costs.

Why capcom is probably going to cut some games. Not enough to invest in games.

I picked an arbitrary number.

You trollin’ brah?

Yeah, when Capcom isn’t doing incredibly well financially, I would think that games that are bigger risks like MML3 would tend to get cut.

Capcom hired Ninja Theory for a DMC reboot.

You really think they’re doing well?

Yes!
I think the story mode is new too!
re-buffed!
i dunno if this means just a new boss battle or new endings for everyone… Which is pretty wow factor to me.

I unno… wouldnt you end up payin the same?

I would pay 40 for the stupid priority bullshyt to go away.
Deadpool has 3 frams moves and gets beat out by shyt with 5 fuckin second star up time! :stuck_out_tongue:
PS… ^ gonna be broken in UMvC3
