I came here to ask just that, nice to know I’m not the only sane person around here.
My momma always said “if you got a pussy you shouldnt be broke.”
So…
Honestly, people need to stop thinking this is a Capcom thing only. At least they aren’t selling the game for Full Price. Plus their will be more change ups, upgrades and what not in this game then what you’ll see for rehashes that seemingly show up every year.
If you people who post on here are willing to buy that Guitar Hero game for Full Price (Wow, new music for full price), or that new Madden game, or NBA2k game all for the huge full price with just some modifications to it each year, then what Capcom is doing is actually a God Send.
Some of you people take things way to far out of context, when other franchises do it and they sell their products at the full price value. Capcom’s actually dropping their price from nearly $20 dollars of the actually newly released value.
Much better in terms of deal then the other garbage I see out there.
This thread makes me wonder if half of SRK is employed properly.
I think it just came out too soon, should have given it a year. I think the game companies are 1. trying to get as much money as they can but also 2. prepping their audience to want new stuff sooner and sooner. The shorter attention span that the audience gets the more pressure will be on the companies for patches every week and new games every 3-4 months
I remember the bygone era of arcades. Every time you had your ass whooped, you’d need to put your hand in your pocket and feed the cabinet with more cash until you were either broke or stopped sucking at fighting games.
A one-time payment of $40 is very generous, in comparison.
considering several of the characters added were talked about being in the game originally, but were then either removed or for some reason decided against using them (only to have them come out in the next version of the game) - no, fuck them i’m not buying that game.
i’d have to buy jill and shuma again? ha! dick eaters.
While I think that it’s a bit on the shady/clever side of Capcom to have released a profitable Beta, we are getting a lot for 40$.
I’ll pay 40$ for hyper armor :h: normals.
Edit: I have only bought one new game this year anyway; MvC3. I’ve gotten, and will continue to get, immense amounts of playtime out of it. It’ll get traded in the on the day of the release of UMvC3 (for 5$ probably) and I’ll get tons of play time out of that, too.
The key is to never spread yourself thin over too many games. Wear out the ones you have and you can’t bitch about not having any money.
12 new characters
if we just bought the it would be $5 each so we would have payed $60 for them
8 new stages
dont know how much it would cost but considering capcom and the prices for dlc ir would have been $5 for each stage i would guess so theres $40
all the characters are getting tweaked to balance the game more
all characters are gonna have more alternative colors and im sure those would have been a dlc for a price as well
spectator mode
and other new features TBA later in the coming months
for $40
its like the best deal capcom has ever given us
we would be spending a lot more if we bought then individually
it makes it easier for capcom to do the tweaks on a brand new disk than on downloaded updates
which would be a pain for them and us if something went wrong
these are the thing i would want capcom to do
have more offline features
mvc3 felt like its do the missions and play online to have fun
but playing arcade can get really boring fast
with mission mode they should add a demonstration on all missions on how its done than going online to figure it out
they should have a story mode where everyone has a story than just beat arcade and see two pictures
and some other modes that will focus for people who dont play online
mvc3 felt it was just train and play online
so again
ultimate marvel vs. capcom 3
is it worth it
whether u own or dont have mvc3
it is worth it
Probably so annoying pricks can bitch about the game in a single place instead of plaguing SRK with complaints about how Capcom made their life miserable.
People paid 80 dollars for a game with 8 characters and 12 stages… DOH HO HOHOHOHOHOO
I played last night for the fist time in months and All I saw was sentinal as assist. I was able to punish … it’s hard to pressure sometimes from a distance… However, I was able to do so…I was a bit rusty but started to see what you mean…spamming is different in this game in my opinion though because it’s used in assist @ full screen, the only real punish is Ultras… Had alot of close matches despite the assist once I could punish…Just pisses me off sometimes to see people with no skill and heavy spamming get rank because of it… I can handle it in other games …easily because the spammer is 1 person… they can not move in most cases… my play style is different… I like to fight so I spend most of my time and energy just trying to get to a person and create an opening
You really take online rank into consideration? Oh… ok.
if you actually took the time to read through the OP’s post, he was comparing UMvC3 to AE with the whole “UMvC3 should be DLC” thing. all I did was address that.
Mind your business LAME… if you don’t want to participate than ignore it…that simple
Dude, read his quote again. He knows that AE was DLC, and uses that to show why Ultimate shouldn’t be DLC.
When I found out about Ultimate, I traded my copy of MvC3 to Goozex; however, since this is my first foray into fighting games, I plan on picking up a cheap used copy to work on things like timing and execution, until UMvC3 comes out. Will I buy UMvC3? Yes. I do really enjoy the game, even though the circumstances around it’s “re-release” aren’t ideal.
coming from somebody that thought MvC2 has 3 punches and 3 kicks, I beg to argue your validity in anything you say related to the topic.
Well I assume if it was DLC it would be over $40 total so im fine with the price. I do however feel a bit irked by how quick it came.
