Honestly I am gonna buy it for the additional character… It doesn’t really fase me …it’s 40 bones… the only thing I really want is my 6 button layout back… no fun if doing combos are too easy… does anybody feel the same way??

Actually, no you haven’t. There’s NOTHING that could have been worse for spending $10 on than Shadow Battles. Had you taken the $10 and lit it on fire, it would have provided more enjoyment than shadow battles. Give it to a group of children and let them spend it on the ice cream man, the joy in their faces is far more enjoyment than you would ever get out of shadow battles. Put the $10 into a jacket pocket you never wear, and when you stumble upon the $10 2 years later you will have a better feeling than you ever got with shadow battles.
There’s never been a worse way to spend $10 in the history of the world. If only you would come to terms with that, then maybe you would have learned a life lesson that was worth the $10. Good Luck!

street fighter 2 CE, garou MOTW, darkstalkers: the night warriors, etc etc there have been lots of great fighting games with 12 characters or less that would be worth a lot more than a mere $40.

With 2 characters, that’s easy… and the 4 buttons isn’t what made execution in this game easy… The fact that you have a year to OTG and a hitbox the size of Texas to DHC successfully made it easy.

So, you’d have to hold down LP and LK, or HP and HK, to tag out, tap the two buttons to call assists (which would be annoyingly hard mid combo), and hit all four buttons to do your team super? Pass.
Wow…what did WE (since we’re obviously one being) spend our money on this weekend? I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but we both have keyboards, which would mean that we both have opinions that just may (aka most definitely do) differ. I appreciate the typical young SRK super hardcore end of the world description to what I should’ve done with my measly $10. (I did honestly think the ice cream man thing was hilarious though, and I did find $3 in my visor in the car saturday lol)
I personally think the shadow battles are fine, sure they’re not the greatest dlc I’d ask for but…I don’t ask for dlc cuz I’m 100% okay with buying a game for what it is, not having the seemingly typical young American attitude that I should get more of everything while spending less money. That’s the same reasoning that brought us super great biggie sized fries/drinks, look where that got you…obese and lazy. The people that MAKE the goods decide the price on them, and what they want to offer to the people…not the other way around. If company X doesn’t have what you’d like, then move along don’t sit and throw mud at them cuz you’re pissy. (not directly at you)
$10 at McDonalds is 99% of the time a far dumber decision than spending it on buying some dlc. One of those things will last you for a very long time, and the other will just make you fat, and hungry in 20 minutes anyway lol. (you’re still out $10)
Another life lesson I learned a long time ago is that, forum wars are foolish to anyone who’s already unlocked the adult status achievement…so that said I’m not going to be reading your reply.

launches were like command normals and the combos could be mixed between the 6 buttons with the hp,hk ending combos

How would one call an assist mid combo, that wouldn’t result with tearing the ligaments in our hand that connect to our fingers?
I think this layout works just fine.
I paid $40 for SSF4, and that only had 10 new charcters and 4 new stages.
All in all, I think I’m getting more for my money here.

HP+HK switched you to your third.
even so… u forgot the TE sticks have additional buttons that can be easily set for tags… u could always do the team super by pressing those 2 tag buttons
and you do know that in games that have 6 active buttons, creating a macro on a 7th or 8th button is against tournament regulations, right?
